and welcome to another by request song tutorial! In today's session I'll be breaking down my approach to playing The Beatles 1966 classic "Here, There, and Everywhere." I'll show you how to play the chord progressions for the intro, verse, and chorus sections, while demonstrating a variety of useful fingerstyle techniques. Let's get started!

Although I am an inveterate Beatles fan, I have been making a concerted effort to learn blues lead guitar, and - for example - your 'Mix BLUES Licks with Chords' is exactly what I am looking for (although I am at the age where RSI is rearing its ugly head and slowing my practice schedule a little).

Thank you for an excellent breakdown of this pretty song. Your singing - which is great - also makes the lesson more complete. If I may suggest any other additions it would be the mastery Paul showed of modulating keys: from Gmaj to Gmin (for the Bb chord) in the intro; then the F#m and B7 chords are a puzzle (could they be in the B Mixolydian key?); lastly the chorus appears to be in F Mixolydian (to accommodate the Eb note in the Cminor chord. You allude to the transition of keys at 15:46 where the clever use of the D7 chord as a pivot from the F to G key makes the transition smooth. Wow and Paul did'nt know music theory or have access to it? Thank you for the lesson

It doesn't sound like there is a backing track for the guitar playing in the demo. It seems I could play this solo and it would sound great. I've seen other tutorials for this song which seemed impossible for me to ever play it, but this lesson looks like one I can possibly play - if I can get my pinky to cooperate! Ha ha!

You're screwing up the lyrics. Listen to the actual song and maybe you'll say "there" as needed.
whoops, I must be losing my eye sight! Apologies, so many details go into making these videos, it's easy to make silly mistakes.
Actually, I'm glad you pointed that out, I didn't catch one of the key components to the songs motif. Verse one starts with "Here", verse two with "There" and verse three with "Everywhere." That's some scary genious level struff, I'm bummed I messed it up!
Rob, don't worry about it. Anyone who's tried making a quality UA-cam video knows how difficult it is. Your lessons are quality and anyone who understands that wouldn't fuss about a minor lyric mistake. Keep on doing your thing.
