Warner's a very good guitar player and rocks well w/Dan in Homemade Sin. but Rick was a GREAT compliment to Dan's playing and singing in all regard.....his super tasteful solos...spot on lead vocal...supreme high harmonies. I can't help but miss him.
Yes, I couldn't agree with you more. The chemistry of the band in their prime was unsurpassed and the interplay between Rick and Dan, the trading of riffs, the outstanding vocal harmonies, tasteful lead breaks, etc, was integral to the sound of the band. This was just such a great band. Honestly, it's a travesty, that a shit band of minimal talent and hugely over-inflated egos (and bank balances), like Kiss, is in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, while these boys who would blow them off the stage, are still almost unknown and just playing small clubs for pennies. Ain't no justice!
spot on . this band dovetailed . not just rick n dan but the bass n drums were locked in too, and the guitar tones on this are so fat valvey and warm too. homemade sin are a pale comparison. still good like .
Tragic that these guys didn't enjoy greater success, but hardly surprising in light of the popularity of mainstream bands like Bon Jovi and Huey Lewis that cranked out safe, unchallenging radio safe pap to the delight of indiscriminate boneheads.
Well , here it is then........Leo`s dream in reality..........great stuff again.. and still rocking years on, the real deal.. not this tv shite we r being fed!! keep it real, keep it live an loud..(64 yr old bass player)
Great. I like it. This number is heavily Stones inspired. Baird's stage persona is a combo of Keef and Jagger. If only they'd had a good manager to bring some stability to the lineup.
The most underrated band of all time!
The drummer kicks ass!! A true southern rock band!!
long live georgia satellites. the R&R band
Rock is the only kind of music you need. This song is excellent.

Warner thinks he's slick, but he can't pull off those Satellites' leads as smooth as Rick.
