Why is this whole video giving me weird 2016 -17 booktube nostalgia, like Silence of Six remember when that was the poppin' book for a month. Also love Jake being the epitome of an enabler "just buy another bookshelf" lmaoo
Just want to point out that Aru Shah and the End of Time actually IS the first book in the series, and it’s a series I’m reading now and I’m really enjoying it! I would recommend it, particularly if you like MG fantasy and you’re a Percy Jackson fan.
It’s cool that your boyf popped in halfway through the video! You seemed so much more relaxed and casual when he was there, i felt like I was just hanging out with y’all
Just an FYI, Bloodwitch is the 3rd book in the Witchlands series and A Court of Frost and Starlight sets the plot for the next book, A Court of Silver Flames. Love your channel, your videos and hearing all your opinions and recommendations!!
I tried reading Fangirl and had heard so many good reviews and was interested but I think I couldn’t even get past 50 pages. For me the way the author presented the story and the characters could have been better written. I especially remember being introduced to a character and it was so out of nowhere, no explication to who the character was and their “role”. Just didn’t do it for me.
@@nadinemorais3501 My problem was that since this book was so overhyped with great reviews that I had super high expectations and thought it was a meh book.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that felt that way about the Throne of Glass series. I’ve been in such a reading slump all year from them. After just finishing Queen of Shadows (after months of trying to read it), I’m finally setting the series aside and maybe come back to it in the future. Now I can concentrate on all the Cassandra Clare books I’m behind on 😄
OMG I completely agree with your thoughts on the Raven Boys! Like, I faintly remember enjoying it, but simultaneously it just is so forgettable! And, as for the question you asked at the end, I think I agree with all your thoughts!
Am I the only one who would totally love to have all of Emma’s unhauled books lol! If you sold them somewhere I would actually buy them! Whoever gets these books is a lucky person :)
It was so refreshing to see a booktuber purging books they did not love or have no desire to read. I need to do the same thing with my shelf, so many books just taking up space.
idk if it's the colour of your shirts or the fact that you are both such grounded chill people, but you are giving me a healthy dose of earth sign couple energy
every time i see jake i say “WE LOVE JAKE” lmao. our taste in books is so similar it’s crazy- every time you started talking about your thoughts of one of the books i was just like “YeS ExacTlY”
The same thing happened to me with “Meddling Kids”! I tried twice to read it and got stuck both times a little before halfway. I just couldn’t get into it even though the concept seemed like it would be great! Glad someone else felt the same haha
I highly recommend finishing the Throne of Glass series, Queen of Shadows and Empire of Storms were AMAZING and Kingdom of Ash was SO epic and it made me cry happy tears at the end. It's literally my favorite series of all time, it has everything I wanted and more.
Same here! I started reading the series when I left middle school, and skipped school on the days for each of the releases, then graduated high school a few months after KoA was released. Have never cried so hard for a series and I don’t think I ever will. If I had one wish, it would be to get to relive the books all over again🥰❤️
I just want to say that I love your videos so much and that you were to first booktuber I ever watched when I started getting into the bookish community, so thank you for getting me more into that community.
I totally reccomend One Of Us Is Lying! I actually just reread it by audiobook and I still give it 5 stars. It's one of my favorite books. It is kind of predictable but I just love everything about it! It's definetly better than Two Can Keep A Secret.😁
I love royals. Have read it once a year for 3 years straight since I started High school in the UK. (I'm 13) love it vids and love that he willing to share ur opinion on these popular books because if I was doing this i would avoid all comments.
Damn, if you were in Canada i would buy that entire ToG set off of you. Ive been looking for that series at a good price for awhile now. None of my used book stores seem to ever get Sarah J Maas. Think i might just breakdown and buy the boxset on amazon.
Jake is such a good co-host!! Strong agree about Hazel Wood! That's exactly how I felt about it, which is a bummer because it's so Beautiful. But there's other beautiful books ✨
Love your videos Emma! I saw you were getting rid of Aru Shah and the end of time (which is totally fine), but that's actually the first book in the series not the second. Just thought I'd let you know! Happy Holidays!
You make my day instantly better when I see a notification of a new video. I love you! Your amazing and beautiful and I hope the new year treats you like royalty girl! 🖤 (I didn'treally enjoy The Silkworm or The Cuckoos Calling🤔).
I actually just finished The Belles and I’m reading the second book right now haha. I really enjoyed it, and the second one is okay so far. But oh my gosh I think the blurry cover is so weird too 😂
Anna and the french kiss is such a throwback to my early teens DD: I still have them but wouldn't reread them likely... Heir of fire was soooo slow and draggy so I completely understand. I never liked winners curse >.> But I kept it a few years before unhauling simply because of the stunning cover ;.; I gotta admit I thought infinity son was awful and you've dodged a bullet :') I did like room but understand your reasoning!! I cry at raven cycle DDD: and horrorstor DDDD: but I understand ahaha. Great unhaul!
The social commentary in the unwind series comes more and more in each book and the relationship bonds get intensified too. I just think it should have been 3 books, not 4.
😍 The book unhaul, I'm here for it! 😍👍 About Room, I read the book then saw the movie and I thought the movie was sooo much better. I just think that film is a better form of media to translate the story. For example, reading the language of baby talk was not for me but hearing a child speak it on film was much easier.
If you ever decide to give tog another shot (probably not tho, i get it) i personally find that QoS is the best book my sjm. HoF is a bit slow for me and it just was hard to get through.
If you ever end up wanting to read Room by Emma Donoghue then I'd recommend checking out the audiobook. The book is told from the perspective of a 5 year old and I think that the narration in the audio really drives home the age of the character. Which also does make the subject matter feel more disturbing.
I thought I was the only one who felt that way about The Hazel Wood! Great video I wish I had the will to unhaul books but I am so attached to everything!
i just read room this month and immediately watched the movie after and as someone who normally **hates** book adaptations with every fibre of her soul, the movie was quite good AND loyal to the book 😱 found out that the author wrote the script so that explains it lol
Why is this whole video giving me weird 2016 -17 booktube nostalgia, like Silence of Six remember when that was the poppin' book for a month. Also love Jake being the epitome of an enabler "just buy another bookshelf" lmaoo
Yes!
love that "jake wanted to be in the video" because we stan jake in this house. (obviously emma cause otherwise i wouldnt be here)
Emma putting the "trans rights are human rights" flag when talking about that author is just *chef's kiss*
You and your boyfriend together in this video made me smile so much I love how he just causal joined in to the video and went along with it all
ahahha thank you! i love having jake in my videos :)
Jake's entrance was iconic
he's always iconic XD
As a fellow Long Islander, I appreciate any time someone educates the world and let's them know we live ON Long Island, not IN it!!
HELL YES!!!!
Unhaul videos are sooo motivating to let go of books you dont enjoy anymore. Its like having new beginnings!
yes that's exactly how i feel! new space for new books :)
I am absolutely obsessed with unhauls so I was so hyped to see yours on my feed!
i really love them too!!
"trans rights are human rights" HELL YEAH DUDE 😤😤💗🤍💙
"Just get another bookshelf"
Thats the kind of support I need in my life 🤣
Right!!!😂😂😂
Just want to point out that Aru Shah and the End of Time actually IS the first book in the series, and it’s a series I’m reading now and I’m really enjoying it! I would recommend it, particularly if you like MG fantasy and you’re a Percy Jackson fan.
I love seeing you guys together!! You both make each other shine!
FYI, Bloodwitch isn't a spinoff. It's part of the actual series. Love your videos!
thanks for letting me know!!
It’s cool that your boyf popped in halfway through the video! You seemed so much more relaxed and casual when he was there, i felt like I was just hanging out with y’all
I love Room! The movie is very similar to the book so I highly recommend it!
that's great to hear!!
Just an FYI, Bloodwitch is the 3rd book in the Witchlands series and A Court of Frost and Starlight sets the plot for the next book, A Court of Silver Flames. Love your channel, your videos and hearing all your opinions and recommendations!!
lmao i feel like your boyfriend is about to take all these books off you, he looks so intrigued by every explanation you give him
fr
I get why you unhauled Eleanor and Park. I, at one point, loved the book. Rainbow Rowell’s books have been a hit and a miss for me.
i totally understand that!!
I tried reading Fangirl and had heard so many good reviews and was interested but I think I couldn’t even get past 50 pages. I agree! The only book of hers that I fell in love with is Carry On (and Wayward Son) I adored the story
@@adri-qq1kz heck yeah. I thought Carry On was good but then it got better with Wayward Son so I’m stoked for the third book
You could said that Emma is entering a new PAGE in her life.
_Ba dam tussss_
ahahahah most definitely! love the bookish puns :)
I loved the Giver quartet. The 3 books after had such a fun connection to the first book.
i love when you have jake in your videos you both are so cute together ♡
Jake is so funny! The two of you together are the definition of chaotic good!
ahahaha aw i love that!
I’m glad I’m not the only one that felt that way about the Throne of Glass series. I’ve been in such a reading slump all year from them. After just finishing Queen of Shadows (after months of trying to read it), I’m finally setting the series aside and maybe come back to it in the future.

Omg yessssss! I was hoping for a new Emma video :)
so happy to deliver :)
Am I the only one who would totally love to have all of Emma’s unhauled books lol! If you sold them somewhere I would actually buy them! Whoever gets these books is a lucky person :)
Your outfit and your chemistry with the SO are absolutely adorable btw!
It's 1 am but who needs sleep when there's an Emma video😍 You and Jake are amazing and funny together 💚
you're so sweet! i hope you get a good night's sleep :)
I love all the throwbacks that this video is giving me.
Totally
You and Jake are tooth rotting levels of cuteness🖤❤️
lmao i love that XD
My phone: *emmas notifications *
Me: drops everything and scrambles to go watch
thank you for watching and having notifications on!
Emma Bloodwitch *IS* one of the main books in the truthwitch series! It’s the 3rd book!
Also Aru Shah and the End of Time *IS* the first one!!
It was so refreshing to see a booktuber purging books they did not love or have no desire to read. I need to do the same thing with my shelf, so many books just taking up space.
Yes! I love a good declutter! 💕
love this makeup look🤩 hope you’re having a happy holiday season
thanks so much! i am and hope you are too!
(great profile picture ahaha)
Aru Shah and the End of Time is actually the first book in the series! Then the Song of Death, Tree of Wishes, and coming out in April City of Gold
idk if it's the colour of your shirts or the fact that you are both such grounded chill people, but you are giving me a healthy dose of earth sign couple energy
Emma blessing us with a video is always amazing
thank you so much for watching :)
Lol me too, I was in like a 6 month reading slump while in the mid of reading heir of fire.....
every time i see jake i say “WE LOVE JAKE” lmao. our taste in books is so similar it’s crazy- every time you started talking about your thoughts of one of the books i was just like “YeS ExacTlY”
This is motivating me to look at my shelves and unhaul some books! Loved the video!!
You and Jake are the cutest. I can't wait to see what new books you fill your shelves up with next.
getting ready for another haul sometime soon of course XD
Unwind is my favorite series !!!!!
The same thing happened to me with “Meddling Kids”! I tried twice to read it and got stuck both times a little before halfway. I just couldn’t get into it even though the concept seemed like it would be great! Glad someone else felt the same haha

Sameee! I love it so much!
ahah i'm so happy you love it so much! i don't foresee myself finishing the series anytime soon, but i don't like to say NEVER ;)
Same here! I started reading the series when I left middle school, and skipped school on the days for each of the releases, then graduated high school a few months after KoA was released. Have never cried so hard for a series and I don’t think I ever will. If I had one wish, it would be to get to relive the books all over again🥰❤️
Yes Emma I also encourage you with this series
I JUST KNOW THAT THE ASSASSINS BLADE WAS THE BEST ONE
Watching unhauls is always so cathartic.
And here I am reading the Raven Cycle for the first time and loving it😂
I did a massive book purge here aswell! From two shelves to one. It made me feel way better.
This hair is so so cute!!
I got SOOOO many books for Christmas... maybe I need to do an unhaul 😂
ahah gotta make space for the new ones!
I just want to say that I love your videos so much and that you were to first booktuber I ever watched when I started getting into the bookish community, so thank you for getting me more into that community.

Wait Aru Shah and the End of Time is the first book in the series, the sequel is Aru Shah and the Song of Death.
ahaha i now realized i mixed that up!
@@emmmabooks Lol I thought so.
I totally agree with what you are saying with The Hazel Wood. But at the same time, I do understand why people love it
I need to do this as well and make some space for stories I love
I love royals. Have read it once a year for 3 years straight since I started High school in the UK. (I'm 13) love it vids and love that he willing to share ur opinion on these popular books because if I was doing this i would avoid all comments.
Aru Shah and the End of Time is the first book in its series, for reference.

so many old booktube favorites!!! the throwback!

YES! “ON” Long Island, not in!
I love book unhaul videos. I'm just curious of what people are getting rid of 🙂🙂

Emma’s thoughts on Neal Shusterman’s books make me feel seen. Loved scythe series! Jakes entrance is iconic. Btw.

Aru Shah and the End of Time is the first one in the series btw!

thank you so much! sending you lots of love during this time
daaamn you're really being bold in this one😅
