Emma it’s so great to see you and to see a new video on my feed!! Hope things are going well !! 😊 Really want to read opal and nev - it has such an interesting premise and I love the 70s setting! All of Marissa Meyers’ books (series) make up my all time favourites 😂 especially the lunar chronicles! I also enjoyed the legend trilogy, the Anna and the French kiss books. I want to branch out and read more series though, I realize now that I read a lot of standalones but haven’t read many series!
One of my favourite series (which I think you’ll enjoy because it’s middle grade fantasy) is Angie Sage’s Septimus Heap series. I enjoy them despite being a decade older than the target audience! I’ve lost the ability to read books, I only listen to audio now. So imma use this video as a list of audiobooks to try out! Truly devious - I’m waiting for book 4! So excited! (Audio releases only in June, apparently, so I gotta wait!) Ace of shades - sounds like something I’ll enjoy, adding it to my tbr. Hopefully the audiobooks are good! Serpent & dove - the first book was a fave of mine, but the sequel didn’t appeal to me. :( not sure if I’ll read book 3. Nevermoor - you’ve spoken about this so many times on your channel! I remember you comparing it to Harry Potter. Glad to know the audiobooks are great! Can’t wait to listen to it! :) Scythe - I’ve been meaning to read this for soooo long, thanks for the reminder ;) The Diviners - I’ve read a different Libby Bray book and I loved it, hopefully I’ll enjoy this one too! Racism and immigration issues are covered, you say? Can’t wait to try it out! Renegades - I’m actually listening to Heartless right now! I enjoyed the Lunar chronicles, and I can’t wait to try this out! Harry Potter - I think most fans will agree with you. Liking the series is such an internal conflict for me. Many of my trans friends found solace and support in the fandom way before JKR opened her mouth and spewed hate! As a bi person, I found a lot of support in the fandom too. Coming out was easier because I had constant support from my online friends. And even when I faced bi-erasure from a lesbian Potterhead, my other fandom friends rallied around me and helped me out. So while the series and the fandom hold a special place in my heart, JKR does not. And repudiating the meaning the series holds for me would be denying a part of my identity, and the journey it took me to be who I am today. Shadow Hunter chronicles - I haven’t read TID and TDA yet. I stopped with the original series years back because it felt like a good place to stop. I recently returned to the universe thanks to the Malec series (its name escapes me at the moment), but my friend keeps recommending TDA to me, convinced I’ll love it! ^i hope you enjoyed my waffling as much as I enjoyed your video! :)

I missed your videos! I'm glad your back ❤️
My all time favorite series include: Origin + Lux Series by JLA, The Dark Elements trilogy by JLA, Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco, Shatter Me by Taherah Mafi, The Diviners by Libba Bray, Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, Shadowhunter book( cant choose just one series)
I'm so glad you're still talking about Harry Potter and aren't just denying its existence even though you don't support the author. I feel exactly how you do.
I am currently reading Wundersmith (the second book to Nevermoor) and I am adoring the series.
Ohh I just got Truly Devious! Now I'm even more excited for it! :)
I just hit the subscribe button just based on your favorite series behind the Shadowhunter Series and Cassie Clare because same. Love love love it!!!
❤ The Nevermoor series, cannot wait for the next one!
oh no I still haven't read King of Crows. Now I relate to you struggling to read The Toll.
26:24 BAHAHAH omg that was so funny, that could just be the channel trailer for emmmabooks
Your videos got me to start the Shadowhunter series and I am loving it so thank you!!! 😀
I read the shadowgame series because of a recommendation video of yours and I love all of them! It’s one of my favorites too.
I need to pick up Cassandra Books I read the City of bones and watched the movie but I haven't picked up anymore since like 10 years ago.
Emma it’s so great to see you and to see a new video on my feed!! Hope things are going well !! 😊
Really want to read opal and nev - it has such an interesting premise and I love the 70s setting!
So excited! (Audio releases only in June, apparently, so I gotta wait!)
Ace of shades - sounds like something I’ll enjoy, adding it to my tbr.
Scythe - I’ve been meaning to read this for soooo long, thanks for the reminder ;)
The Diviners - I’ve read a different Libby Bray book and I loved it, hopefully I’ll enjoy this one too!
Infernal devices is my favorite of the shadowhunters. I think but I do love last hours
My current favorite series has. to. be SIX OF CROWSSSSSS!!!! I love it sooo much! I've also read Scythe and it's so gooooooood!!! I'm going to pick up The Diviners very soon!
