So cool to see someone boosting an auto r18, keep it up its dope
Thanks man! It definitely is rare to see.
Simply awesome fit. I’m no expert but I can tell that’s a clean install!
I’m no expert either but it came out perfect
This videos of your turbo r18 series are so helpful you have really done good work
Thanks I appreciate the comment!
Mine will be done tomorrow and that intercooler was a pain but it’s on now and my build should be done tomorrow 💪🏽thank you for the motivation and all the ideas. I watched and studied these videos like no tomorrow🤧
Please share your pictures on ig or email. Bullipl@yahoo.com
Would love to see!
Glad I can help. Sub to support!
Hey guys I’m curious now how did the turbo setup end up going long term any complaints or would you definitely do it all over again? I have a 2010 I use to DD but it sits around now so I’m thinking turbo build for some fun wanted to touch base with some people who’ve done it to see what they think
@@Jboost412definitely blew the engine like two months later but hey everything is a learning curve and I loved the experience it taught to have a turbo car everything was modified to make the car run how it was and it just was so very fun and different but I would definitely look into internals before anything
I blew mine after 8 months and 8k miles.
Rebuild the engine and still running turbo about 7k miles strong now. It’s all in the tuning. You can run turbo stock engine just need to be considerate of the tune and dial it back in few key areas to protect motor and rods.
Someone send this to the Honda team 🚗
Whats up man? Im just watching your videos again for a refresher. I finally got my BC rods and my turbo build is back on. I wanna get in finished by the end of summer.
Hell yea! Wishing you all the very best!
Your car will be a beast! Make sure those engine clearances with the new rods and pistons (not sure if your doing head work) all work together in harmony.
Dude I appreciate these kind of videos that explains how to everything thank you
Thanks! Glad I can help
Sick, can’t wait to hear it start!
;)
I like the way u did so now am going to find someone to do it
Sweet. You can do it!!
Mann im waiting for that startup and drive 👀
Start up in next video!
Good progress 👍
Thanks! I’m super happy the intercooler piping all worked out! I was worried about that!
Your content is really awesome watching from🇵🇰
Thank you my friend. I appreciate the support!

Bro pro tip, you should use isopropyl alcohol to clean surfaces that are gonna be sealed with of sort of gasket. It is farrrrrrr better than any acetone you will be able to get. The acetone that's sold to consumers is very low grade and does a horrible job of actually lifting and removing ay foreign particles , it leaves behind an oil-y type film , and it takes forever to evaporate and it doesn't even evaporate completely to begin with. Isopropyl alcohol is the solution to every one of those issues. You don even need to get the "super pure 99% isopropyl" even at 70% it is wayyyy good enough for anything in the engine bay. However the cost difference is pennies between 91% and 70% so might as well grab 91% lol
Hmmm. Interesting I thought acetone is a stronger cleaner. I started welding now and acetone seems to clean the bare metals better then the 70% iso
it is here 😏😏😏
Enjoy! And thanks for watching!
perfect!
Thanks.
Whatever happens please keep this video ...
Is the stud on the exhaust manifold side the same as the stud installed on the turbo? M8x1.25?
Way too much instant gasket but it runs so congratulations
Sick build, but why cut into the frame and damage the integrity of the body? Was there not another way to route it??
There is limited room. One option would be custom piping. This is simple and non structural cut. No big deal. Can always weld it back if I go back to stock. I’m ok with it.
hey man you might wanna do a test fit with the radiator and other hoses around the engine bay, some of those intercooler pipes wouldn’t have fit on my turbo r18 build and i have the stock stuff still in
I did, and I had to trim some components of the radiator fan to give myself some extra clearance. It’s snug but fits. Good that the piping is 2” small. with a bigger pipe this would have not been so easy.
@@BulliKid can’t wait to see your build finished man 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks!
Can you do a short video , how to install the blow off valve for honda civic 8th please 🙏🏻
There is many ways to do it.
Make sure it’s in charge pipe and route vacuum line from bov to anything post throttle body.
@@BulliKid where the hose need to going?
@@BulliKid like this video at 30:26 you show the hose going where ?
Intake manifold
@@BulliKid Thanks a lot 🙏🏻 keep going do more video about hond civic 8th 👍🏻
Making me wonder if the r20a in my 2015 ILX automatic could benefit from the R18 turbo kit seeing how they're pretty identical.
Do they have a tuning solution for the ilx?
@BulliKid that's the crux of the situation. Worst case scenario a custom tune with a hondata may be my best bet. From what I've read the differences between the R18 and R20 aren't far apart at all. You engine bay as well as the engine itself are strikingly similar from the SOHC layout, oil dip stick handle color/location and even the intake and exhaust manifolds structure and placement are virtually twins when compared to the base 2.0L ILX automatic. The only few differences is the stroke of the crank between the 2 and mine has sport mode paddle shift.
I also have a 2009 Honda Civic LX that I thought about installing turbo at one point but I also trying to figure out what a cheaper way other than turbo I could put on this car that will increase HP
This is the cheapest way to add HP.
The turbo kit says it’s for 08-11 r18 civics, would it fit on a 2012 r18, i believe the turbo would still mount fine, I’m not sure if there would be anything I would need to make custom.
Correct. Either generation intercooler piping has to be custom.
@@BulliKid thanks man, I wanna do this but I have 240,000 miles on my engine, it’s still running strong tho, transmission got replaced so its got only about 20,000 but I’m not worried about that.
Yah should be fine on low boost is yours a CVT?
This turbo setup isn’t legal in Cali. But at least it doesn’t take up much space.
It has a small footprint. It’s a tiny turbo. Good for city and midrange. It’s not legal here too with no catalytic converters technically speaking.
@@BulliKid lol how do you get it smogged my man?
Luckily I just passed my emissions in March so I have 2 years before emissions again. But I have some things up my sleeve that I will try to see if they work
Why didn’t you get a single side intercooler ?
It would require more custom piping and I don’t really know how to fabricate and this worked anyway
Downpipe looks like a bottleneck
Small diameter.
Butt nice Video.
i am looking forward to the results!!
how do you want to program the ecu?
I’m using hondata to tune the maps.
Can this parts fit on a 2012 Honda civic exl?
You betcha
@@BulliKid oh nah, you gonna make me go bankrupt now 😬
hello friend, I'm thinking of installing a kit like this in my civic lxl 1.8. I would like to know if you had any problems with the engine breaking. I speak of South America (Brazil). Can I get this kit from eBay? I couldn't speak to the seller.
Yes I did have problems recently with the engine. I think shipping will cost a lot of money to ship to Brazil.

Could you tell me where you got those couplers ?
Everything is from eBay.
Im planning to buy the exact same turbo kit from alibaba. We dont have ebay in the philippines lol.
By the way are you using the stock intake manifold? Thats the only thing i need to know before i proceed with the build or buy an aftermarket intake manifold. Thanks
Stock intake manifold.
What size studs did you use for the turbo manifold
Whatever standard stud sizes are.
I don’t remember used some studs I had laying around from another turbo.
Where did you find a maf replacement I was looking for one back when I was trying to get rid of my stock intake
It came with the intercooler piping kit
@@BulliKid Ah, makes sense, was worried I'd have issues finding one if I went boosted.
You can buy them on eBay either way. Different sizes.
hello , can this kit fit in the 2008 civic 1.8 vtec lxi and the other stuff like intake for civic si fit in the lxi and where the best place that i can find parts to my car ebay ?
The kit should fit the lx
@@BulliKid thanks mate
Anytime
Hey man, I'm thinking of doing a turbo install myself on my R18 Civic hatch some day. Do you have like an email or somewhere I can reach out to you for more info regarding doing this build?
IG if you have bullikid.
Hondata flashpro works on automatic??
Yes
@@BulliKid sweet!ever dyno the car bro?
@@josephdegoma3902 never. Just street tuning
Question I have 2014 civic would that turbo fit in my car ?
And would the flash pro work on that to ?
Yes but you need flash pro for 2012+ civic
@@BulliKid Question is there a way u can send me all links of the things that u need for the turbo or email u can send it to ?
@@blezer4875 not possible boss
@@BulliKid alr but thank u
The intro was well produced but to long. I'm way more likely to click off the video if you don't get to the "meat and potatoes" quickly. I love your videos
Yes I realize this after watching the video. On my old computer it won’t playback smoothly during editing so I didn’t realize it was so long. I’ll get to the meat and potatoes next video for sure. 💪
what state do you live in? im in cali and were you able to pass emissions i have a r18 manual transmission, my catalytic converter went out and as much as its going to cost me to buy a new one, i can spend on a turbo kit but i dont want to buy a new catalytic conveter, if im going to end up doing a turbo later on and end up having to give up the catalytic converter anyways. so my question to you is if you live in cali did you pass emission espcially with the egr delete and no catalytic converter
I didn’t have to get a emissions test done yet. I am due for one next year.
@@BulliKid is your check engine light on cause the egr deleted and no cat
@@ryonrangel5450 no. You disable it in hondata.
Where you get all the gasket?
Came with the kit
@@BulliKid I check the kit you put in the videos and in the description said it doesn’t came the gasket.....and also can you tell us where you buy all the other things?
Everything I buy is on ebay.
I buy it all seperate.
Which makes it a “Kit” like in description.
If the kit doesn’t come with gaskets you need to buy it seperate. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t include gaskets in a kit.
@@BulliKid Alright thanks I appreciate
@@BulliKid So you said you buy everything on ebay right ? I mean pcv valve , hoses, fitting etc?
Can I just get a list of everything I need?
Just watch the playlist I have everything in there
@@BulliKid while I watch this, how long did it take you from start to finish to complete your build?
