Thank you, brotha!! You're the only person that properly shows how to remove the harness without breaking the clips!! 🙏🏽

Thank you once again , I have about 9 of your video links in my Audi A6 2012 2.0 notes. You’re hands down my most trusted Audi source . I got my coolant leak issue fixed because of you. Please keep up the good work.

Can you send that coolant link? I’m having trouble as well.

I broke off one of the pins for the coil, i followed this direction, used a pick to unlatch it from inside, all good, thank you.

Finally someone who really knows how to get that harness disconnected. Thank you. Everyone else has some other random cockamamie approach, none of which ever work particularly well, at least for me.

I want to say thank you very much! You saved me when I was on a trip home my #2 cylinder was misfiring due to a bad spark plug and was making a bad vibration under acceleration. You helped me to get to my coil packs and sparks plugs so that I could replace them!!! Thank you so much for this video!!!!!

Saved me from basically breaking all of my clips! The first thing I did was break a little gray one and one of my coil pack ones, then looked at your video. Of ALL the videos I looked at, yours was the only one that went over this really important procedure. I 100% wish I would have clicked on your video first!! I subscribed and wil be coming here 1st from now on...Cause You Da Man!!!

I’m noob but I did everything to maintain my all cars since I don’t think so that I can pay the whole part’s and labor to mechanic especially Dealership, too expensive too stealership and those money I can use to purchase so many parts when it’s needed from the FCP etc, I did this almost 17 years since I was 18 but today I just broke those 4 coil ignition connectors , basically it was brittle and crappy 19 years old, I want to replace the leaking gasket on TTQ that’s sad if I firstly check your VID,It won’t happen 😅 like this maybe,
Your Video is really helpful I will not break anymore the connector for another 2 cars of mine next time
Thank you you are Great !

Yep good old German plastic. Found several of these broken on my 2007 a4. Un pinned and replaced and found the center portion of connector that pins engage into cracked and separated from connector. Never any misfires just weird that was also damaged along with lock clips

Excellent stuff.. great tips for those ultra fragile lumes.. heck what I’ve been doing lately is calling junk yards and asking if they have that coil pack assembly and the wiring harness that runs under the intake manifold.. just to have extras.. I’ve seen almost every Audi I’ve worked on with broken triggers.. you have the touch of a diamond cutter dude.. nice technique.. I’d love to see a video on how to pull the breather hoses on the older C5 Audi’s.. also good tip for first disconnecting the solenoids then the coils.. is there a sequence you prefer? I also always add diaelectric silicone to the plugs makes them slide easier and keeps them clean

Yeah, i partially broke the first coil connector when i changed them, i still hear the "click" when i push it it but it's broke, after the first one i figured it out, If i remember correctly it will work without a pick or a screwdriver if you push in the connector first before you try to take it out while at the same time push with your finger on that thing at the end of the connector. I don't know if it makes sens but it does in my head.

When i unplug those coil connectors, I dont use anything other than my fingers. The little tab at the top is all you need to mess with. Push the whole thing in, pull/push the little tab back and move the connector slightly. Repeat for the rest. No picks needed. 176000 miles and climbing. Sticking anything in there is doing it wrong. Cmon man, you worked at Audi ffs.

Loving all your videos, thanks ! I am wanting to replace all my coils and spark plugs on my 2012 Audi A4 , do you have a video on this ? I just saw the video you did about how properly to take off the clips on each coil. I am just wondering if you had a certain way to take off the coils/spark plugs ? Looks pretty straight forward but was just curious if you had a video out on this topic. My car just started to idle like crap the other day and lost power when i was driving home. Anyways, if your read this and have time to reply back, that would be awesome, cheers bro ....... :)

    • @2tallB

My wife's A4 B8 doesn't have safety tabs, guess they have different versions of the small 2-pin connectors. One has a small plastic cross-bar, you can't put pressure on that. Press the clip underneath it down with finger or small screwdriver. Another new version has a rectangular block with no cross-bar that you push down with finger. Is that what you see?
