Oh man, was the NFC/Wallet capability SUPER USEFUL during the pandemic though, lemme tell ya. Never had to touch a pin pad or terminal, didn't even have to touch my watch to it most of the time. This watch looks pretty sweet. I was looking at the pixel watch (wish you had a review for it) before I saw this. Only thing that worries me is durability. I want to wear it while working and I work in construction. What would you recommend?
I would recommend you to get an extended warranty. The watch is great, but the post sale customer service is terrible. Also, get a screen protector since it scratches easily.
I know it's not a fitness device per se, but would be REALLY interested to hear your perspective on the Android (think that's a Pixel). When considering these watches you have to consider the entire ecosystem as part of that. Just a thought!
I'm a bit biased because I'm deeply into the Apple Ecosystem but I used android for years prior to switching a couple of years ago. I like the Pixel phones because they're not loaded up with too much bloat like other brands and they have great cameras. I guess I still prefer my iphone 14 in most other ways because it simply just "works" and does what I need on a daily basis.
@@ChaseTheSummit your apple bias was obvious when you said "if you're interested in an apple watch but can't." Android had smartwatches years before the apple watch existed, as usual, and they're just as good. Imagine starting an apple watch review by saying "if you're interested in a galaxy watch but can't get one because you use iOS." It's silly, but even that would be more fair since Samsung watches were first on the market. And we all know who is creating these anti-consumer walled gardens.

If you compare hartrate, why use a hr-strap on the watch you compare it with? I read on platforms that a strap or extra sensor is also possible on a TicWatch. Does the result get better with a hr-strap used on the TicWatch?
It sounds like a jack of all trades and a master of none... I still feel if you carry your phone with you, you dont really need too many smart features and should stick to accurate data (eg Garmin)
Except the Garmin isn't much of a smartwatch, more biased towards training. So it's a either or. I will have the phone with me but I don't want to keep digging it out of my pocket to do every little thing.

I was wondering if someone can confirm something for me....does the calorie burned indicator ONLY track calories burned through exercise and/or daily activity? I would think that it would track overall calories burned throughout the day, including BMR. For example, if my BMR is 2000 calories and then I did a workout and burned 400 calories, I would think it would show 2400 calories burned. But it seems to only track exercise and activities. The TicExcerise app doesn’t work with external sensors but you should be able to use something like “SportyGo” with Bluetooth heart rate and power sensors just like other WearOS devices.
It's transflective MIP LCD similar to a Garmin Instinct or Casio G-Shock but because it's dual layer the visibility isn't quite as good as a dedicated MIP display.
Why do I see polars influence here? I know Polar looking to use wearOS in future, but can it be so that Polar is active here? Or have mobvi just copied the design in some sleep data?

EPIC FAIL!! on this watch out the gate….No Google assistant….this watch never happend. Mobvoi is just way to far behind the curve to catch up with the likes of Samsung and Apple…Google had to find this out the hard way with the Pixel watch…they waited too long. And Mobvoi already has a tarnished rep with the other watches they releasted.
Mobvoi and other brands are hamstrung by Google giving Samsung exclusive rights to each new WearOS version. So the other brands have to wait until they are allowed to use the new version, work on that development, and then work it into their own hardware product releases. Maybe they weren't allowed to use Assistant, or Google wanted to much money to add it in which would might have put this watch over the price target they where aiming for.

The customer service doesn't exist, no updates, ever. That's all we need to know 😅
Your sleeping heart rate seems high. Mine is always in the high thirty's low Forty's .
Hi, does it have e-sim support
Is this watch compatible with iOS like its predecessors?
Nope
Is the secondary screen e-ink like the Casio ProTrek? I need to replace my Casio but i love the E-ink second displat!
Some of the interface looks similar to Polar but that "sleep stages" graph is something a lot of brands use.
Will this work with iphone 14 pro?
Unfortunately no, it's not compatible with IOS devices. Only google.
Can it connect to chest straps like Garmin can?
Yes
24 mm..
It doesn’t work at all with iPhone??
Unfortunately no, it's not compatible with IOS devices. Only google.
Merge Solution has an app in the google store to allow it to work with iPhone.
No snorkelling? Why not? Unless you can snorkel to depths of 5ATMs, I think you'll be OK...
I have had the ticwatch pro 3 before the ultra since it came out and this is the watch I have been waiting for to purchase. I already ordered it and it will be here mid next week. I know Mobvoi has a bad track record with software updates but with this coming with wear os 3.5 I'm willing to overlook that. Basically my ticwatch pro 3 was on wear os 2 and it still worked great so if updates are slow, I am confdent it will still work well. Excited to get this ticwatch pro 5 on my wrist and get some wear os 3.5 goodies.
@robertasmus1627 -how is the SpO2 accuracy?
@@1eryear funny. You should ask that today... I wasn't feeling very good yesterday and did an SPO2 test with my watch and then later I had to go to the ER. I'm okay but I did have pneumonia and my SBO2 was 98 on the watch and 97 at the hospital
Don’t buy it. I have the Ticwatch pro 3 pro. They promised updates but the last security update is back to 2021. No support. Nothing. It’s a pity.. so beautiful watch with no support no updates. Never again
I’m Selling my pixel watch for it
I've just sent my new pro 5 back. It was utter c.rap (esspecialy the BT). Shame as I got it as an upgrade to my old pro 3 gps which 'now' works ok.
I already have Android + apps on my phone, *whyyy* do I need this bloat on my watch too? We are really squandering our precious time with these gadgets nowadays
No Google Assistant….no google Home ….why is this watch even here?
We shall see. they've stated that assistant is coming but yes... kind of a bummer that it's not here at launch.
No LTE / 4G / eSim ... unacceptable in 2023 ... I pass ...
Sounds like a $250 watch, not a $350 watch. But it's cool. I think I'll skip tho
The entire smartwatch segment is ridiculously overpriced. Not enough competition. I paid $227 for the tic pro5 and honestly it feels like a $100 dollar device. $350 is insane!
"Complications".... Someone knows his manual watches!
to bad there is no more IOS support
Lmao. 350.00 ? What a joke. You can get a much better watch than this for that price point. Have the pro 3 ultra and don’t think these watches are worth the price.
Got tic watch pro 3 and was very disappointed with it. Health app is bad, step counting is awful at all (somehow it counts my step size as almost 2 times wider then it really is which is impossible for humans) and the most ridiculos part was hiking activity with average speed of 6+ mph.
Experience of cheap low quality noname watch and dissapointment for this company
Gj nice video
well mobvoi is not a brand to trust.
they prommised wear os 3.0 for the Ticwatch 3 Ultra Pro.
they said it will come in the middle of 2022..
luckly i managed to get a refund for this ugly watch by the end of 2022..
now they promiss the update will be avilable at the "third quarter of 2023" - sure.
Just bought the Galaxy 4 classic for half of the price and im with WearOS 3.5 and soon will get the WearOS 4.0 and i have Qi wireless charging.
i don't know how u can make so ong review... but not know some essential things about u are reviewing - like polimer case and 24mm band...
I’m just a hack I guess
TicWatch... Bad service and no updates. Mobvoi has disrespect to customers. My advise is don't stop a buck in this company.
Lol commoot
Will never buy anopther garbage Tic Watch. My Pro 3 GPS never got any updates past Oct 2021. No Wear OS 3 update as promised despite having the most capable processor on the market. Strava no longer supported due to missing Wear OS 3 update. Google Assistant broken, can't make calls or send messages. The power button has now failed and I've gone back to Samsung. Mobvoi will happily take your money and abandon it's customers. Worst smart watch company out there. They flood UA-camrs with free product and paid endorsements to get you to buy their garbage product. My Galaxy Watch 5 works perfectly including Google Assistant and Strava.
Thanks for sharing. This video wasn't sponsored or endorsed in any way but I get where you are coming from. Hopefully they up their game with customer support.
EPIC FAIL!! on this watch out the gate….No Google assistant….this watch never happend. Mobvoi is just way to far behind the curve to catch up with the likes of Samsung and Apple…Google had to find this out the hard way with the Pixel watch…they waited too long. And Mobvoi already has a tarnished rep with the other watches they releasted.
We shall see. they've stated that assistant is coming but yes... kind of a bummer that it's not here at launch.
@@davidmccarthy6061 Exactly. And people are coming towards Mobvoi with torches and pitchforks because they think it's them holding it back. And what if Google can't really say that because it may strain the relationship they have with Google and potentially lose that partnership?
I use tichwatch3 pro every time I enter mobvoi android program, I watch tichwatch pro 5 commercials for 5 seconds why am I forcibly watching ads which idiot thought it was a good idea
Does the Ticwatch 5 Pro count flights and speed of going up and down the stairs?
@chasethesummit and anyone who knows this.
This watch seems soo cool. I am willing to take my Apple Watch series 6 off and wear this boyfriend watch
I bought the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra which worked fine with my iPhone, however this Pro 5 does not work with iOS. Big miss. there Mobvoi.
Wear OS 3.0 and superior doesn't works with iPhone no longer.
@@MarcoPolo82 Wear OS 3.0 absolutely does work with iOS 15 and higher.
