The man is a pastor (a christian). If he pressed charges he would do the exact opposite of what he preaches (forgiving others). If you want to stop people like her, you have to prove them wrong, not prove them right. By not pressing charges he showed her that not all black men hate her like she believed. The more decent black people she meets, the more she starts to see that they are not all evil. On the other hand if he pressed, charges what positive example of a black man would she see? Same goes for the black people who believe all white people hate them and want to turn them back into slaves.
They must be a law that people must be arrested for 5 years for being racist!

I would’ve press charges.
@nils704 in this case he won't have to press charges. She's committed at least two felonies:
A: Assault With A Deadly Weapon, tasing the pastor.
B: Terroristic Threats, threatening to burn down his church.
Both with Hate Crime Enhancements.
All tolled, she's looking at 40+ years. Assault With A Deadly Weapon alone is about 20 years in prison even without Hate Crime Enhancements.
Felonies in general usually are not up to the victim to press charges as they are considered crimes against the state and/or the country. It's up to prosecutor's office, ie: the District/Commonwealth's/or State Attorney's Office and I see no reason why they wouldn't press charges.
He is a Pastor. Therefore He Is Forgiving. He did suggest Help for Her. If she went to jail, she may not get the help she needs. Depending how long she is in jail, she may not change, she gets out and does her threats.
