When I was working at Amazon as a delivery driver in Canada, I had 165+ stops and 250+ packages every day delivering in residential areas and when I got "promoted" to working in the downtown area, I averaged 70 - 90 stops with over 250+ packages. From what I've seen from our US counterparts, Amazon is more lenient on your packages and stops. Great video, this is exactly what it was like working for amazon.

@@proverbalizer I’m not a truck driver anymore I’m in a different career field. But I for the company I worked as a trucker last was a private technology company based in Cleveland. Depends on where your route is, heavy residential you may have over 170 to 200 stops. It goes fast in bigger neighborhoods. Short driveways are always helpful in getting the deliveries done quickly.
I do deliveries with Amazon Flex. I definitely agree, more driving, less packages. I use my own vehicle, so I don't have too many rules. I enjoy what I do. I get a different route every time. Most of the time, I have no idea where I am, but the app always helps me get the job done!!!
I love Flex, but DSP is tempting. Flex is great when it's popping off, but routes are tough to get during certain times of the year, you eat the wear and tear + gas costs for your own car, the pay is wildly inconsistent and you have to deal with paying income tax -- it isn't withheld for you.
Wish our package count would be reduced! My DSP has strictly residential neighborhoods (some businesses) and we average 150-190 stops a day with 300+ packages. Insane amount of group stops. This beats a rural country route with 80 stops in my opinion though, I get done way earlier in residential rather than the rural low stop count routes.
When I worked for Amazon I never had less than 165+ stops and well over 300 packages. Not to mention I was driving an hour and a half to the first stop of the day.
I was doing this back in Oct 2022... till April....174 stops and 24 bags...20-30 overflow... in Farmland areas then finishing out entire Apt complexes til 930 pm.... Can't believe I did this🤦🏾😅😅 Only time I had 40...50 stops was on my nursery route...3 days later...WHAM!!! Shit got real😅

I couldn't do this much stops/packages on a day, I work for a company that does the bigger packages, like tables chairs en that sort of things. My average routelength is around 500kms/310miles. I do like 20 stops on a day. It's much more relaxed I think

Also sometimes you'll have a difficult critical patient that requires "babysitting" since they may be fairly unstable and doctors are constantly changing things until they get to a stable point. My first job was in a grocery store where I had the same sort of 2x 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute break he says in the video while having to be constantly working at all other times and I cannot imagine doing that again. Based on your truck and how you don’t organize the entire tote in order, I’d be so mad having to come rescue you because so much time Is being wasted
