Kingdom Hearts has been in my life since the release of the first game in 2002. I was just a kid, about 6 at the time, and I didn't have a lot of friends. I was kinda seen as the weird kid, and by 2005, when the second game came out, I was pretty much a loner. The underlying themes of friendship, love, battling through the darkness, and always moving forward comforted me a lot during my youth. The early days of the Kingdom Hearts fandom became my friends, as I got older and the internet became more prominent. I went from feeling alone to having quite a few friends, all because of a video game series we liked. This was a good video. I love talking about this franchise, I think it's important. To me and so many others.

Games like Kingdom Hearts make Hope feel powerful, and they also make positivity feel like a superpower in a way many other activities do not even touch on. Once you open the door to light - friends, hope, optimism - it pushes the darkness back. That key point is something every KH player can believe in. Me either. I do hope KH4 has a FF presence. I felt KH3 only cared about Organization 13 and Disney movie replays. I really need Final Fantasy in there. Lol
