I'm honestly just so glad to see that we'll be fighting an enemy other than orks or chaos in an action-oriented 40K game for once.

@@MattH11 Brand recognition my dude. Space marines are the poster boys of the franchise and the Ultramarines are the poster boys of the poster boys.
It's a sacrifice I'm willing to live with if we get more of Titus and get to carve up some 'nids.
I'd kill for like a God of War style hack and slash following the Black Templars though.

what i really liked about the first game was how HEAVY your character felt, like the thundering when running just gave you that feeling of being a walking tank WITHOUT the slow cumbersome movement that so typically goes along with that ( think say driving a mech or a big war machine in a normally fast paced game and how it feels sluggish) gave you that sense of power.
this one seem to be more of the same, but looks massively better .. 100% getting this game
Makers of first game seem to know the lore a little better. Space Marines in the books were always described as how incredible fast they move although them being bulky.

I hope they put more emphasis on the sounds of the war to fully immerse us. I hear the MC's weapons well but the other guns sound muted, Battlefield 1-like sound focus translated to Warhammer 40k universe would be insane

Man, they really captured how badass the Space Marine is.
12:45 the lone guardsman surrounded by Tyranid corpses. Certified badass.
Man I feel this just perfectly captures how the Astartes do battle, as it bring them alongside the Adeptus Militarum. The mid-battle banter between space marines is perfect. We see the size and effective differences. We see hordes, but also brave men standing to their death. It is grimdark. This looks really good. I'm so glad this is going to be released soon. One thing, I see a lack of helmets. And that is unrealistic for Astartes.
they already said that you can turn it on and off in the settings later :D
I really like how they shaded and handled the relection on the Space Marine armour, making it look like it is actually painted with acrylics. The golden trim on the shoulderpads even look like they were shaded with wash and edge highlighted. Im sure that everyone who painted a few Ultramarines, and lets de fair who didnt, can appreciate how they look in game.
This makes me wanna imagine how other factions would fight. Still new to Warhammer 40k, but I'm beginning to understand the differences in the 20 different space marine factions, I think. Fun to imagine this game as a Salamander or Raven Guard, nevermind a completely different race all together like Tau who'd be a spectacle of lasers and mecha, or Orks who would basically be so unhinged that they see a Tyranid swarm as a pile of leaves.
Night Lords would see the Tyranids, say fuck that shit, turn their ship around and flay some random person onboard.
Orks aren't mad, they just want a good fight.
Horde mode would be crazy in this game

I love the fact the guard is actively fighting around you, the first game had a few moments where it felt like you were on a battlefield but the lack of the guard being around felt weird.

Crazy to see the scale of everything, would love to see some Orks, Chaos, Death Guards a bit of everything just for comparisons :P
I hope they make the impacts and gunshots heavier, squishier, more brutal. The execution animations are too static and feel like they break the rhythm of the action. Also if you walk into a room nids should not be standing around like NPCs, they should ambush you from the ceiling and be hiding in the environment. I hope they make them smarter.
In my opinion, the Tyranids and the Necrons are our worst enemies that we have. (Besides the traitors)
I feel Necrons will end up much like Tomb Kings in Fantasy, they may go to blows with the humans often, but at the end of the day they still are an Order faction. The Silent King musing about having been blind to make an alliance with Sanguinius in the past but not being blind now shows that they might end up in the same side of the imperium
Love the slow but chunky sound from the bolters. Not a massive fan of the heavy bolter, though. Doesn't have the same feel as the gargantuan, chain-fed, body shredder of the original.

Cant imagine how powerfull the custodes are. There is 6 custodes facing a hives of tyranid, Milions of that Bugs

Nah bro can’t even compare. Gears was a cover based shooter with bullet sponge enemies. This is a hack and slash shooter. gears took inspiration from warhammer, you can see it in their architecture and aesthetics

Honestly the player environment looks insane, that aside, the gameplay seems very limited and will get boring quickly. When a mission is based on turning a crank to break the monotony you know they are stretching. I do hope there is a lot more to be seen because at the moment player interactions seem very limited.

This was amazing
Frag grenades should be called "krak" grenades instead. The bolter sounds waaay too weak. The chainsword is used like a normal sword instead of being kept in place against the flesh and turned on to eviscerate the foe.

The Game looks great but they need to reduce the HUD here and really let the game immerse you. Plenty of way s to tell you what you need to see without being obtrusive
