No one said or is saying how to remove the bed rails that are welded in.
Those are called Angle Strips and you don't remove them. They can be removed if necessary, but in order to replace the bedwood you don't have to.
My 1977 GMC step side has fixed bolts on sides through bed wood. How do I remove existing wood.
Where are the fixed bolts you're talking about?

Ok... so since it's gonna be user friendly bed... now that you installed that wood bed and shiny strips.. let me start using it by rolling a greasy engine block in there... or abuch of scrap metal from the shop. 😆 🤣 😂
What stains and Clears were used in the video?
All the products were Minwax products, however we don't know which particular shades were used.
The color of the stain, I couldn't tell. What they called "clear" was actually Spar Urethane. It is UV resistant. If you just use polyurethane, it won't last.
I wish they showed more detail in the removal and installation. Most of the video was about how to incorrectly apply stain lol.
I got the exact truck I’m 14 and before eny body says everything yes I know how to do this I just got done setting the timing on it and put a HOLLY DEMON carb it halls ass lol
