I'm SO GRATEFUL for Bro. Ballard's gentle yet solid witness of Heavenly Father's truth. It makes me feel I CAN be better and that I'm REALLY loved. That's the sign of a great and effective church leader🤍
This should not be that difficult, after all our spirits have been around a lot longer than our physical body.....if this doesn't give one hope, I don't know what will! May God bless and help you Elder Ballard, as you have helped us for so many years. I truly love you!
Please accept my condolences for your lose. I'm sure it is difficult. I miss my dear wife Jeanine. She was the love of my life. I'm a new convert to Mormon lifestyle. Love you brother. Keep your chin up. And your eyes upon the heavens.
“Being a homemaker was the only career she ever wanted.” How many are still like that?? Sure, we need to get education to be able to work for income when we need to, but I can guarantee that education in home and family, even the most simple and seemingly mundane of tasks that are done at home or out, for each other can bring some of the simplest and greatest of joys. Even though I am still single, I experienced some of this, myself when growing up. Simple joys of regular duties at home. And I grew up when Home Ec. was taught in the schools, and I took some of that as electives in college, along with child development and various general classes. Then I added my Office Occupations program at a vocational school. I could always get a job in that field. The simple tasks at home are God’s work, and they are our work. And there are many very interesting and rewarding things to learn and do there….options are endless!! I have read or heard that those women who are successful in this will one day be the envy of others.
Repentance is an "indispensable weapon" in the greatest battle we have on earth. The battle within ourselves between our natural/carnal and divine/spiritual natures.
Odd how I should turn to this talk tonight. Elder Ballard at the time of this talk lost his wife one year ago. Next month will be one year since my husband passed away. Such comforting words for me.
In these turbulent times it is a great reminder to nurture our spirits. When we are strong spiritually, our physical body changes for the better too. Thank you President M Russell Ballard for this inspiring talk.
