Got mine last month.I am still sore.The dealership was local but it was on order for months.
Wow. I have had 2 of these and sold them for what I bought then for. 1 used and 1 new. Just enjoy it brother. These bikes hold value incredibly well. Great bike that can't be destroyed. Stop with the numbers,you have the beast. Hold it forever.

I got the same bike although marketed as a 2022 in October. Had to order it from a dealer in NJ and out the door with taxes and fees paid 9,300. My arse is still a bit sore.
At least you still have them, in australia they were discontinued from showrooms about 25 years ago

It’s really hard to find a brand new one my local Honda dealership said the next 4 that come in are already sold ,people are buying them and just waiting for one to come in, that’s what happens when you have a great bike, I know there are used ones out there and they basically are all the same, I’ve been waiting on a new one for a few years myself
I had a hard time finding a new XR650. Same deal here, it came to over 8 grand, so don’t feel bad. I’m going to have to grab some of that… ummm… lubricant before I go to pick it up today. Haha!

nice bike..I always ask for "out the door price)..had a dealership try and bump me once..said NOPE..you quoted..sales manager said ok..give him the price..they made a profit..we all know it

😆I bought mine in 2020 and it was a 2019 model, saved me 1,000 bucks. At least you have a pouch to carry that Astro around. I hope it doesn’t become a habit.

I stole an 06 with 4,5xx miles two years ago for $1,500. It’s been in storage for the last year because I moved halfway across the state but I should be getting it in a few weeks. I guess I should say I moved from southeast Alaska only accessible by boat or plane to central Alaska about an 18 hour drive and a four hour ferry ride away

do you like the xr650L that you just bought? Aside from the dealer charging you to the hilt.
yep... 6,999 no budging (post covid the dealers cannot choose their bikes anymore, honda chooses what they sell). Then you have freight cost, shop build cost, tax, title, registration and interest on top of it and some pay for delivery..... You are looking at a 8.5 9k bike out the door without interest. After that, go ahead and add up your 7-13% interest rate (780 score when I got mine and still got slapped with a 7.4% interest rate) on top of everything else, then you'll be paying round about 10-11k all together if you go 60 months, then you can start limping out the door. I'm at about 170$ a month for the bike, then you need insurance, 80$ if the average, some places have deals if you go through that specific dealer you can get it for like 20$ a month or if you have the hookup.
Just bought one in December. Paid 7400.00 out the door. Got lucky as it was dealer transfer and didn’t get me for charges. Honda can get full Monty for these as they are hard to get and has great resale. Get one while you can it’s the best bang for your buck.
I want to ask what your out the door price was. I just put deposit down on one and it is $8,023.00. I contemplated driving hundreds of miles to get one but finally settled on the local dealer ordering one. Supposed to be here in 2 months.
Mine was 6999 before taxes and all the fees. I forget exactly but it was right around the same price you paid.
Problem is that white/black wheels color is the best looking XR they put out, besides the '97 and '98 which u can find for around $4k...but used. Shitty clutch and throttle cables, dinged wheels, everything scruffed. By the time I put new seat, wheels, tires, plastics, graphics Id be over $6k anyway so Im watching the used market. I see them for around $7k.

Guys hint them used, i got three 2 250 l and one 650l far less cheaper a few oil changes and o rings and they run like new, most of these bike just get a few 1k mikes and that means nalmost new

I bought mine off the showroom in 2021. Didn’t really need that stuff. Honda finance has the best rates in the market. 149 a month and you think people need that stuff,,hilarious
