Really appreciate your video, it helped me do my panel fix. Add on the repair, you can REPAIR it instead of replace. I dropped 1/2 spoon of alcohol, spin back-forth, and then blow with air compressor. And, it worked.
Done, done, and done!! Yay!! Less time than making a bed. By the time I changed my covers and sheets on the bed, the hubby was walking through the door. Works great. 👍
Thanks Hotdog, great video! If you put the flat blade screwdriver inside the vent and pull you can loosen it without marring the chrome strip. I had conduit punch the right side (No defrost!) and the circuit board popped out of the clip so I just popped it back in and it works again.
You failed to mention HOW the screwdriver removes the panel trim. Did you slide in the screwdriver above the directional fins as not to crack them? Did you push the screwdriver parallel to the ground and upward? It's important when dealing with plastic not to create a second or third issue.
Buy a trim tool kit,plastic wont hurt it 👍 Also if you pull gently the chrome from the bottom side and then you do the same with the black piece it will come off without breaking.

The MTC A/C-heater control Rear Wipe/Wash button light emitting diode (LED) and Recirculation button LED, or the ATC A/C-heater control Delay and Recirculation graphics will begin to flash when the calibration procedure has begun.

Appreciate the video, I had issues the the door actuators but lost power to the driver's side. I noticed the blinking defrost light in the bottom right after the new install in your video. Did this fix your problem or did you still have issues with the hot/cold change? That's how my 2012 grand caravan started with the problem. The actuator was missing teeth in one of the gears and the flashing light began with the "clicking noise".
Brad, mine is the same issue (hot cold out different dual controls to cover both sides), and the clattering/fast clicking as if the gear or damaged gear is the issue).
Question: May I open the control inside, change some bulbs, my controller can't see the light when night, it's not easy to switch the wind port, thank you!
Is the reason this was replaced because the air location buttons were not working ...ie (windshield, floor, directly at you, mix of directly at you and floor ) or was it because the heater knobs werent working? I ask because my 2012 the heat and ac work fine on every setting but the floor...so i was thinking i needed to change 1 of the 3 blend door actuators , but now i am wondering if this is what i need to change? My fan speed also works perfectly when i dial it up higher or lower , the only thing that doesn't work is when i set the hot or cold towards the floor, otherwise it all works perfect.

Looking at the temp gauges, I do not believe it to be a thermostat problem. Maverick, yes. When I put the new blending actuator in, there's no more clicking and resolved the issue. I don't know if it's related, but thereafter, I cleared the ECM codes, and since I replaced the actuator in May, I am unable to see DTC Codes (electronic module which expresses if there's an issue in the EVAP system and my meter reads yellow light and EVAP. I have been unable to get all the system to ok everything for an inspection sticker which failed in May. I ran the car since then, for hundreds of miles for the car's computer system to register all codes during driving. I was told to drive the car for about 100-200 miles for that to happen, but thus far it hasn't because I'm retired and don't travel anywhere or work so limited use of my car. A couple of mechanics told me that it would be the solution to get the car's system to pick up all the checked codes (all sensors) and return to normal. It hasn't happened yet. I'm a bit frustrated. Perhaps a ECM FUSE?
What was the problem you were experiencing? Ive already had the front AC evaporator replaced after my ac stopped working. After that it worked a couple times, the n the driver side went out, a day later the passenger side went out. After paying $1200 to change the evaporator, i don’t want to pay to replace the compressor if it could be the door actuators or possibly just this control panel. The buttons work on the control panel, so im leaning more on the door actuators with my fingers crossed.
Smurf, by "door actuator", i suppose that you're referring to the door of head/cold via the actuator to open close on a dual (individual side climate control).
I noticed the defrost light flashing, the same light in my car start flashing on my van after replacing the driver door actuator and never stop flashing after that. I was wondering if you had the same problem?????

I have a question I hope you can answer I have a 2011 Grand caravan with the heater controls the same as yours in the video I believe there are four actuator doors three in the front my problem is I don't get very hot heat if I turn on the vent to blow the heat the AC kicks on and then I get too cold is that going to be a blend door or is that going to be the heater control then if I go over and hit heat for my face or feet if I put my hand to it it's hot it doesn't really feel like it's blowing super hot the fan speeds do change up and down if I have heat on I can turn the AC and get heat or AC my main problem is the van doesn't get super good heat and if I go to vent window vent it turns on the AC and I get no heat I get cool air on the window help me please
There may be air in your system that is keeping the heater core from getting hot. It's also possible that someone put the wrong coolant in the vehicle. Make sure your coolant is pink and clean. If not you need to flush the system asap before it does damage to the engine. Again your coolant is not supposed to be green, it takes a special pink coolant that comes from Chrysler.

The fan control was acting up. It was doing strange things to the speed of the fan.

This fixed my issue. It was the blower control that was my problem.

the hvac system has to be re calibrate due to if you disconnect the battery or lose power to the hvac system
