Part of me trying to hold a straight face when I recognise the jingle when he first fires up the program. Somebody's been watching Blade Runner.
I'm just surprised the only people really doing this with oculus or a few enthusiasts and not any major developers.

@@Tyke18 I'm sure you're familiar with Voxta I like it problem is it's a hardcore enthusiasts set up so many moving Parts multiple subscriptions required and so on I'd love to see something like vox running on the quest. And instead of all those moving Parts multiple subscriptions and payments required and needing to know coding language programming and so on for everything to all be in one place so a brain dead moron like me can use it. You download it from the Google App Store you pay a monthly or yearly subscription and no skills required for keeping everything running how can you figure out where requirements and so on.
Stuff they're doing with vox is incredible but it's like a foreign sports car and you've got no mechanics to maintain anything on top of the expense. Basically you have to pay multiple fees per month to use it it's what it boils down to. And I'm not going on it I'm all for the program but I wish there was a major company out there doing something similar and really putting effort into this kind of AI for people especially have it running on the quest. There's only been four attempts at an AI on the quest that I know of.
Replica which pretty much abandon it after 2 months they've never made any attempt to change anything after they originally launched it for the quest.
Second one is a very difficult to useg rated abomination I blew through what they call credits for a monthly usage and about 20 minutes lol controls were super janky and they literally charge you by the second or using it basically got in a position I couldn't figure out how to shut it off once it was turned on and found out they charge by the second for using it lol.
Third one is you and ironically you're more than replica and the other two you've even gone as far as having it work in pass through mode which I haven't seen anybody do. Replica has a pass-through function with your phone / tablet and you think they would have forwarded that over to the quest 3 but they've made no attempt to do so. There's a lot of us out there that want something like this but for adults and have it set up so that you just click on it install it and it works without a lot of work necessary from the end user.One of the big problems is 11 Labs the way they're running things is basically screwing everybody.
11 Labs should be a flat rate fee not basically $100 for a couple hours a month I think it works out to $100 Canadian for 4 hours a month or 6 hours a month which is completely ass given what they're doing. I've used txt too voice as far back as the 90s and it was a program you just bought on a CD and installed in your computer nowadays anybody running voice to text is charging ridiculous monthly fees instead of just being a program you buy and run on your computer.vox on top of the monthly fee you get so many tokens per month for 11 labs basically you can run out of that in two or three days and then have to pay for more 11 Labs usage on top of your monthly fee lol companies like 11 Labs on the fleet is highway robbery. it's what's giving a lot of people trouble. most llms at least have some very basic voice like yours I don't understand why 11 labs and one or two other outfits are so expensive it should just be like a $30 a month fee or $100 and something a year. Making things simple like that would make it way easier for companies to use their service.
I really don't understand why companies like replica aren't being more forward thinking about getting into VR especially some adult entertainment companies. If you're familiar with a few older Sci-Fi movies each of their ai's had a jingle that would play When the AI will power up it wasn't a new thing specific to Blade RunnerCherry 2000 had something similar when the AI would spool up it would play a little jingle and then would say did I fall asleep. They did something similar on dollhouse where whenever one of them would wake up the phrase was did I fall asleep.

Such good fun! Does she have root motion on or would she wander too much? Not sure how you reconcile a canned animation and navigating colliders. Love it!❤
Hi Bob!...(whoosh!)...don't worry, that was just the sound of what you just said going right over my head 🤣 (apart from the colliders bit). Thanks for your kind words. Yes it's more fun than usual adding these dances, it's actually several dances all combined in the animator transitioning to different states using crossfade.
@@Tyke18 that works really well! Just check the Inspector when you have her selected in the Heirarchy and see if the Root Motion check box is checked. You can always uncheck if it results in goofyness.
@@bobhawkey3783 I checked it, it was unchecked, so I checked it but it didn't seem to make any difference. I quickly googled what it is, I don't think there is any Root Motion data with the animations I'm using unfortunately (if I'm understanding it correctly).
@@Tyke18 that’s ok. Could be the npc movement routines are bypassing it. Most dance and movement animations definitely have it. More static anims like talking sometimes don’t. Great job regardless!
@@bobhawkey3783 Yes I've given this more thought and reading up, yes some of the animations on the website I got them from do move around in a small space, whereas mine don't. Even if I don't use my app with movement routines or spatial data, like the AI navigation indoors using meta scene data, they don't move. I will have to investigate! Something must be blocking them.
this shows something interesting, if you made a way to the user imput a dance like in those "mmd" videos you could hit a completely diferent audience kk also, if custon avatars and the capability for the user to use other voices that they have alread paid you could see some crazy uses of your tech kk
Some excellent suggestions, thankyou. I will have a read up on if and how to allow users to upload their own dances, and about using a custom voice, that's another great suggestion, and I think that's possible if some other plans I have come off, thankyou :)
