Supfen keep improving their catalouge. Glad to see more ventilation options since that my biggest complaint from having ordered a bit over a year ago. If you have a tight budget and want to get into HEMA i recommend them 100%
Thanks for the review. I'm a bigger guy with a bit of a belly, and supfen was the only company that sold a jacket off the rack that fit without having to order a custom. It was also half the price of a spes jacket. I also picked up their leg protectors, but I haven't been able to really put them through the paces yet. The jacket is warm, but excellent.
Glad you also had a good experience with them. When I saw their prices I thought it was worth a gamble!

Wondering how you were feeling about almost a year later. How has it held up?
Do you know the length of the shin guards? Or if that is the standard length for all their shin guards?
Thanks for the great review! I think I am going to get one. I am a bit short as well and was worried about getting a Kit because of the the one size fits all problem…Did you got it in S?
You can take advantage of the fact that you can order custom sizes for no extra cost! I'm also short, so I gave them my measurements to make sure the fit was correct.
My advice is: order custom sizing, and add the ventilation as neither will cost you extra!

nice! i am looking to start HEMA and this sort of starter kit is exactly what i need but i always get nervous that i am buying half baked low quality stuff when i see these kinds of kits and i don't really know which brand are reputable or not.
It's honestly a very good kit. So far I've had no issues with it other than the hood restricting movement for lighter weapons!
so i finally went through the process and picked out my own kit, sent in my measurements and went with my own design. The process was different, but dealing directly with farhan was pleasant and he was very responsive. The best part was I could switch out certain pieces, like the gloves and the gorget and it was no issue. not sure how lnog it will take for it to arrive, but it's being made just for me so i suspect it will be a few weeks and i am good with that. @@HecticHEMA
