His playing is so beautiful. You can just feel the emotion coming from the piano and ultimately from him. He must be in heaven now playing for the angels.
I absolutely LOVED this beautiful man and stellar musician. His, was a soul rooted in kindness that flowed out of every note he played. The piano was simply a tool through which the beauty of his character as a human being flowed. His stature was dwarfed by his gigantic talent. I miss him, more than any words can ever convey. R.I.P. my excellent brother!

I'm also hearing Eddie Gomez and Marc Johnson. No doubt the influences on his tonal, rhythmic, and conceptual choices are many and varied. Wonderful solo.

We compared notes (my son and I), about Mr. Petrucciani's playing style to that of Oscar Peterson's playing style. By the way, my son says thank you as well to you! Good health to you.
