I am 81. With Petrucciani WE are on the top,,today, , jazz is far away... This master pièce is clear ,,,Miroslav makes One minute of suprême show ,,with clap on the boxe it's crazy to do that,,,,Simple there are genious. ... Steve Gad as usual, modeste but absolue support. So much complicité between these 3 artistes.
First we have to make clear the usual genius of Petrucciani and the swing with which he played that day, but what is really out of the ordinary in this video is what Miroslav Vitous does, it is something outstanding, I really can't find it on the Jazz stage and in the catalog of bassists something equivalent to this, Miroslav is simply a double bass phenomenon, a monster of a musician, well, and Steve Gadd, may God rest him!
Truly astonishing bass lines, breath-taking runs, fluid, musically clever constructions. Agreed, genius. And nowhere as good as here, this version -- there are many others as inspired, but nowhere as well expressed as here. ~ the Blues Doctor, Cape Town.

I regret not knowing about Michel earlier in my life as he was such a wonder-full gift to humanity from our mysterious uni-verse, brings tears of joy and appreciation for such unbelievable talents.
Miroslav Vitous/ Steve Gadd , wow what a feel, sound, communication with Michael. The 20 century produced these artists and I was alive to see and hear them, a true gift to the world!!!

This brught me so much joy and when i go through a rough time i listen to it and this morning its gone :( specifically looking for the rendition of autumn leaves from this concert
I have the entire Michel Petrucciani discography. The Munich concert 1997 was not released on disc. Unfortunately, I have never seen the full version of the concert either on DVD or on UA-cam. The 3Sat logo is visible on the recording. Maybe you should write to them, because the Germans must have archived the material. I wish we could see it all.
