Great comparison. I Was debating between these 2 and ordered REV5 primarily because of the price and Serato priority. The unit had hardware defect in performance pad section, so i returned it and they gave me refund. Im seeing so many people have issues with their REV5, fells like Pioneer didnt deliver in terms of quality for 1100 EUR controller.I will buy FLX10 as next controller and I have feeling that it will be the right choice for me! I also like Rane4 but love Pioneer DJ equipment feeling
Im here because i got mine today… left fader pitch doesnt move, and the audio to my headphones sounds like is crackling all the time… so disappointed. Now im debating between the 2
Thanks for this comparison video, this is the comparison I’ve been wanting to see because it’s the two controllers I’m considering. How’s the auto BPM transition? Is it worth it on the Rev 5?
Do you plan on using stems at all? Looks like the Rev5 is built more for the 4 Serato stem control versus the 3 that Rekordbox has on the FLX10. I feel Pioneer cheaped out on the Rev5. Thanks for your review! I own a DDJ-1000 for Rekordbox. Quality on the FLX10 looks similar. I want to use the DMX feature for lighting. The 1000SRT version reminds me of the Rev5. Water downed version for Serato users.
I do actually has 4 buttons on top of jogwheels for stems plus u can use the knobs for stems the only thing its missing from flex 10 its the isolation of vicals on effect
Update the rev 5 has ben having many bugs to this moment lately the fx knob not responding Will wait for rev mk2 Over all pioneer has been playing us making us buy new controllers because previous one had something major missing
Yup, that’s why I still use my Denon MC7000 for Serato. Audio card is really loud and crisp when I play at bars or pubs with house systems, and inputs are decent for weddings. Plus all metal just like the Rane gear.

Rane tried it didn’t like it think have a video about it rane 4 jog wheels too heavy
I really like the rev 5 but seems a lower quality maybe mk2

@@madjc13 rev 5 it’s buggy but update firmware first and latest serato
What about the Rev 7 which is meant to be an improvement on the Rev 5 ...would you consider the 7 as an option ?

In reality you can do it with lock bpm and do it manually with any controller so not a deal breaker for bpm transitions

Pioneer cheap out on both units regarding the jog wheel latency my roland 707 has more accurate jog wheels
I’m thinking the Rane 4 would also be better for Serato than both of these units.

I like comparisons like this, actually you should even have tested the sound difference on the video
The sound quality it pretty much the same but the output its weaker in ddjrev7 but can be fixed with a external mixer
