Hi, leave the stained strip on chair and stain the seat part to match!❤
Can you use this with tuff top on stair treads? I painted the stairs but the dogs nail scratch the paint only on the bottom tread
Would it make the stairs slippery?
The description says you used dark walnut but in the video you say you used the raven black. Can you clarify? I have natural cherry that I would love to darken and I'm not sure which color to use.
A little too much talking hard to hear instructions
When you apply the first coat paint to the bottom part of your table, it seems to cover and spread so nice! I’ve just used your “cloud” color on 2 pieces of furniture, and I felt like I had to dip my brush so many times. And even after 3 coats, it was still showing the old furniture color. One of the pieces was pretty dark, and I totally understand that you may need to apply extra coats. But almost 4?? I’ve seen your videos with you doing some dark pieces and it seems like (as far as I can tell in your videos) that it covers in 2 coats. Do you add a little bit of water to your paint? I’m not using a cheap brush. I’ve painted lots of furniture. I’ve used a 32 ounce can of rethunk junk on just 2 pieces. And they aren’t very big
Hey Nick! Sorry you're having that trouble. The Cloud typically does take more coats since it's a "pure white" color! This is especially true if you're painting a piece that is very dark to start with. If you prefer to do less coats you can always try our Cotton, which is close to Cloud but a little more "cream" - it's one of the colors I use most in the videos! Another option instead of adding a 3rd or 4th coat is to do a coat of the Dark Glaze or Wash instead. This will add dimension and give you more coverage! We wouldn't suggest adding water as that will make the paint thinner and you'll just need to do more coats. Hope this helps, feel free to email at laura@rethunkjunkbylaura.com if you have any other questions!
@@RethunkJunk hi thank you for getting back to me! I actually did buy some of your cotton paint and applied it to some lighter furniture. But I can definitely see that it covered better in two coats then of course the darker pieces. So far I have only messed with the cloud and cotton because in the area that I live people really like the white distressed shabby chic furniture lol. I'm excited to try some of your other colors and getting to play around with them on some of the other furniture that I have. Thank you so much!
I am new to this site. Jennifer

Kind of scary to paint ones antiques...🤔
You can always test out on a small thrifted piece if you're nervous! :)
