These bags contain fabric from Moda's production of Layer Cakes and Jelly Rolls! Each bag contains varying widths of strips and Rectangles, most are from 2" to 4" in width and are color coordinated. The Strips vary in length, approximately 1/2 pound of scraps.
Please keep in mind, these are scrap bags, selvage edges are included and they are cut the width of the grain.

Congrats on finishing your Lori Holt quilt! It's beautiful!! I loved all the quilts shown today, but the great Granny square quilt just spoke to me. My heart goes out to the widow n her children. ALS is a horrible disease. I've had a couple of patients with that disease, heartbreaking. Kudos to Quilters Dream for their efforts to raise money for research. Have a Blessed weekend.

Joy's quilt is stunning. I would not ever think to choose those colors...but will, now. I so much like how when you do quilting, you have an eye for how much density to use in coverage.

Your Calico Garden is beautiful and I can’t wait to see it quilted. I got a little teary-eyed over the Great Granny Square quilt. A friend I went to high school with just passed away from ALS. Dawn did a beautiful job coordinating the fabrics with the shirts. The pattern worked well for that purpose and the pantograph was perfect. Listening to your thought process in choosing threads and pantographs is really teaching me a lot that I don’t think I could get anywhere else. Thanks so much for that!

Oh, what a great thing to do with the shirts, the quilt turned out perfect. Such a nice sentimental quilt! I love the pink cat quilt! It’s so different and I have a black cat named Dim. He’s so sweet. I also like the Lori Holt quilt, the garden one, it’s gorgeous! All the quilts are great. I love seeing all of them.

The Lori Holt quilt that you pieced is wonderful❣️ All of the customer quilts are gorgeous as usual. I really like that you used white thread in the top and in the bobbin to quilt on the memory quilt with rainbow-hearts pantograph. It shows off the quilting no matter which side is on top. The person who pieced it did a beautiful job too. Thanks for letting us know that Quilter's Dream supports ALS Research and patients. I was unaware of that. Oh my, Stairway to Cat Heaven that DeeDee created is absolutely stunning. I am so happy she finished it!

Oh i love the quilts featured today and love the quilts by Joy.. can you please tell us where she gets the Moda scrap bags? Ive seen scrap bags on quilt shops sites but never a specific fabric designer or fabric company. Thank you
Hi Tracy, Here is a link to Quilt in a Day shop where she sells Moda Scrap bags. Notice the pictures that she displays underneath the description. Each bundle is a specific fabric line but the bags themselves do not specify which line. Quilt in a Day says that you can put in the description what type of fabric you are looking for (ex. juvenile, halloween, Christmas, etc.) and they will try to accommodate. I don't believe every shop does this. Hope this helps.

Loved seeing the progress on your own quilts. The Lori Holt quilt came out great. I, too, love the texture for quilting. You always pick just the right one. I was wondering if you wash and/or starch your fabrics prior to using them in a quilt. I, always used to wash all my fabrics. I, now, have started starching them and I feel that is a game changer for piecing small blocks, but I will still wash any strong colors prior to starching. I want to just jump into piecing the quilt but feel I need to be concerned about colors running. What are your thoughts and experience? Thanks for all the time and effort you put into your videos and the quilt circle. 😊❤
I personally do not starch my fabrics. I know many well known quilters do, but it is not a practice I have ever even tried.
From a quilting standpoint, I really cannot give the pros and cons. My reasons for not doing it are mainly from a time and space standpoint. I believe my quilts turn out beautifully even without starching though.
