Knowing the manufacturers of the fabrics is super helpful. I wish you would do this regularly to help your quilting customers discern purchases. We all have favorites. I know I do. Timeless Treasures , Moda, and Bali Batiks.
Joanne, this is something that has been suggested to us in the past. We will see what we can do. With so many kits and fabrics we show each week it makes it difficult to name all of them, but I do understand the benefit of sharing the information. I will pass it along 🥰
My stash is a lot of yardage, charm packs and layer cakes. These patterns you are showing are prefect for what I have . Thank you for such a cheerful video .
Watched the first video on the introduction to the book, loved it. Already used my never-ending stash of one-yard cuts to set up kits for the new book. My ten friends who moved south and southwest to warmer weather did not give me any jelly rolls or layer cakes, but I do have two layer cakes from someone somewhere and will give it a try. A layer cake or jelly rolls equals about 3 yards of fabric, the great appeal is getting a coordinated variety of cloth without buying a lot of yardage.
Hey Donna &Fran you can make layer cakes out of your yardage too. It's so much fun to do. . . ❤❤❤. Just a suggestion for you to try. .use your cardboard from. Your layer càke. . You can also make your own 2.5 inch jelly rolls from your yardage as.well. you can also make 5×5 inch square from yo 19:30 ur yardage as well too. . That's what I do. It's so easy and it will blow your mind when you see what you made from your yardage.just a thought. Love your videos ❤❤❤❤cut from your stash yardage if you want to. Just a suggestion for you both.
Loved the Tula Pink one and the Kaffe Fasset one. Especially the Kaffe Fasset one. I do love the bitty houses but not sure which way I like it better but edging closer to the original.
Love being able to use precuts! Using the black fabrics with those bright colors is so striking! Great job on the new book and concept including precuts!!
I have more yardage than anything, but I am no slouch in collecting precuts! I love the ideas you have shared in this video. Already the creative juices are flowing!
Congrats on your new book. I love the conversions to the precuts. I like to use yardage but I do have quite a few layer cakes that I need to start using up. Another great video from you two.
For reasons unknown, I have mostly fat quarters in my stash. Also, I don’t have them stashed by collections, but rather by predominate color. I still have a bunch of charm squares and 2½” strips. Then there are all the scraps from other quilts which may or may not have used precuts - so much scrappy fabric! And oh my gosh, if that flower festival quilt doesn’t look even better made from a layer cake than it does from yardage!
Love how we've created patterns to use precuts. The tutorial is so helpful to see how the precuts work in the patterns. I see at least 3 patterns I plan to make. Thank you Fran and Donna. BTW loved the matching shirts.
I have tons of yardage, but mostly in the way of precuts I have a mountain of fat quarters, and not sure what to do with them, I am color blind and it is hard to match yardage to precuts. I have, maybe 6 or 7 layer cakes, 14 or 15 jelly rolls, probably around 30 or so charm packs, and the mini charms maybe 10 of them. I love this books and pray that once I get my "new" sewing room set up I will be ready to go to town on all of these goodies!!!
I have quite a few precuts. I also have the accuquilt system that I can make my own layer cakes, charm packs, and jelly rolls from my stash. I'm excited about this new book.
Love that you guys have matching shirts.👕👕Great video and explanation of how it all works. Made a few of your 3 yard quilts, they all turned out beautiful.❤
I received my new book yesterday. I am so excited to get started! I have more yardage of fabric but I do have some of everything else. My pattern is Elastic but I also like Parade. I’m thinking about doing Parade for my friend who had breast cancer. Where the blue is on your pattern I will be using a pink on pink tie-dye to get get pink bows. Thank you for helping my creativity to flow.
I love all of your books. But I think this is my favorite one. I love using different fabric in you quilts. But this makes it so much easier. Have to have the book. Loved both of the videos on this.
I love the flexibility of being able to use the precuts I have with yardage to make a quilt! As people use these patterns they will understand the creativity and freedom of these patterns. This has also inspired me to look at your patterns that I already have to see where I can use precuts. I love the patterns in this book, especially Elation.💕
Very exciting book and patterns. I don't have a lot of pre cuts but I cut the sizes from yardage and fat quarters. These quilts will be so much fun to make. Thank you Donna and Fran!
I made the pattern Stepping Stones and used part of a Halloween Fat Quarter Bundle for the focus fabric blocks and it came out great! This opened the door to so many possibilities! The quilt pattern Elation is easy to make bigger because you are using a Layer Cake and just get extra yardage! So fun!
You two look lovely ❤. Thank you so much for all your creative ideas!!! Luv it!!! I have tons of yardage and precuts. My stash will start to dwindle!. Thank you.
I can't wait for my book to come tomorrow, those little bungalows with the Busy Bee fabrics are adorable! Thanks so much for all your company does so we can get quilts done fast. I now have all your books! Happy Quilting!
This is the book I have been waiting for!!! My favorite quilts are the scrappy ones and I can see that these patterns will be wonderful. I have mostly yardage in my stash but I do sometimes get some precuts. They sort of sneak in somehow. Last week I was given 2 layer cakes and now I know the perfect pattern for them! Thank you, Donna and Fran and crew!
I have bought all of the different types of precuts but I don't like the pinked edges. I tend to buy to fat quarter bundles. I love all of your books but really look forward to this newest book! Thank you!
I always thought your quilts with big blocks would be amenable to layer cakes. Whenever I buy precuts I get coordinating yardage. Ready to go! The Kaffe Layer quilt is simply stunning!
These will be so nice to use up the last few squares of a layer cake, etc. Love the idea of pairing some yardage with some leftover precuts, etc. and going for a scrappier look.
Agree, Kaffe fabric in your pattern is gorgeous! I too have imagined using a precut to give variety to the look. I like the scrappy look of these examples. You heard the cries for flexible patterns and once again delivered, just as you did with the fat quarter book. No wonder Fabric Cafe books and patterns are so popular.
One of the things I like about your regular "old" quilt kits is that they are not "scrappy". I like them so much better than multiple fabrics hiding the design and pattern. I do own a couple of small jelly rolls all in one color line. I will find the pattern that will suit me and them one of these days. I love your patterns and your program. Keep up the fun.
You two are so creative. Do your minds ever rest? I am so excited. I probably have more layer cakes. They are so fun to cut up. I like Elation the bes.t
Fran and Donna, just LOVE your matching shirts! This new book is exciting! I have more jelly rolls than any other precut, but my bin of layer cakes is beginning to compete. I just love the coordinated or controlled scrappy look. I have begun
I love that you did this book for precuts! I have so many precuts in my stash. In fact I was already thinking to look through your other books and see which other patterns could work with precuts. Elation is gorgeous and perfect for Kaffe fabrics!
Hello Donna and Fran, this video was great !!! I like your simple exclamation. Of the symbols used to differentiate between the mini charms, charm packs, and layer cakes, and jelly rolls. And how yardage could also be used. Along with the showing of the quilts made with all of these items. I'm looking forward to buying this book to add to my collection of your books. Also Looking forward to see more of your videos.
For Veranda, you can use the layer cake squares for the HST’s as well. Either cut the squares vertically and horizontally to get four 5” squares or use the 4 at a time method on the 10” square. The layer cake has enough squares to do all this.
My stash (highest to lowest percentage) is yardage, then jelly rolls, then layer cakes, and a handful of charms packs. I can't wait for the new book! 😊
from Gerry- The Elation pre cut quilt is stunning! My quilt store posted that they have the book. I'll be there tomorrow! Thank you for making is simple and gorgeous. Blessings.
I NEED THIS BOOK. It will be my first book purchase from you. In 2017, I was starting to use Jelly rolls and bought lots. During the quarantine I switch Ed to fat quarter bundles and yardage. Thanks so much.
Watching your video, behind you in the shot between a blue bolt and a green bolt of fabric there is some beautiful fabric with geometric designs in rainbow colors. Would love to see this fabric in a kit. Love the 2 newest books.
You know, Kaffe intimidated me at first too. But then I realized that many 3 yard quilt patterns were perfect for Kaffe, because most of your patterns are designed to show off the fabric, and Kaffe prints are begging to be the stars of the quilt.
Ladies, I love your darker blouse your both wearing today. Matching Mom and daughter.
First reminds me of fish. Big fish, little fish sounds like a cute name. Such a cute quilt!
I keep saying "Oh Wow!" after every quilt you show! Fabulous Ladies! Thx for showing us!
Thank you so much!
I like how you pulled the precuts in to your patterns. Your creativity is so much fun.
Thank you so much!
Hmmm...I could swear I watched this video yesterday or the day before. No mind. I loved watching it again.
I have some precuts that are waiting for this!
Oh y’all have outdone yourselves!!!! I think we need more patterns like these. Thank you ladies!!!
My stash is a lot of yardage, charm packs and layer cakes. These patterns you are showing are prefect for what I have . Thank you for such a cheerful video .

Glad you enjoyed it!
You can also cut layer cakes to make your own charm squares.
Looking forward to getting my book & making one of these patterns.
❤ the new book. Great new patterns ... Great show. And love Donna's new hairstyle.

Excellent presentation. Enjoyed it very much. Thanks.
Oh boy! Love Ovation in those Kaffe Fassett fabrics!
I have Layer Cakes & Fat Quarters more than any other precuts. Donna, Fran, and the Fabric Cafe team are amazing!
I have more yardage than anything, but I am no slouch in collecting precuts! I love the ideas you have shared in this video. Already the creative juices are flowing!
Love the KAFFE! Love Elation, love Bitty Bungalows!
Elation is sooooo beautiful! You really made those fabrics look outstanding together. The quilting also adds to the beauty. Thank you Donna.

OMG!! Love the Free Spirit Crisscross quilt ❤️💙💗💚💜
I really like the patterns with a variety of fabrics!

I used my leftover Halloween fabric to make one of your quilts. This book will save me all the math time. Thank you for making this new book.
Wonderful!

Good point!
Ok you got me hooked I just order the book, I love the quilt ideas and have tons of pre-cuts ready to go.
