You can't tarnish all Chinese makers with the same brush, most products are made to a price, some are made to a quality and depends very much on quality control. It takes time to build a good reputation but can be lost quickly no matter where it is made. Let us hope Geely and Volvo get it right.
People need to get this Chinese ownership stuff out of their heads. Geely doesn't have all that much to do with this car beyond having a shared platform. This is a Volvo creation. Either Volvo got it right or not. And Volvo is headquartered in Sweden and there is where they directed the development of this car.
Agreed. And I've bought many a "Made in America" product that was crap. It's all about quality control and sophistication in manufacturing vs geography. (e.g. Tesla has had major issues with tolerances despite manufacturing in the US)
Exactly! Every car reviewer reviewing small cars: This small car is small !!!! Drives me crazy & is just a way to kill smaller, more fun cars that are also way more efficient.
The interior is so tight can't you see the position of the center screen to the driver is right there in is face,! But a heads up display to assist the map and the usual minimum information would be nice indeed! I don't know this things we will just know when driving!
My MD had a Volvo S80 which was always in the Garage broken down and finally the Auto Box went with a cost of €5000 to repair so he got rid if it and replaced it with a Mercedes CLS 220D
And I have an S80 with 180,000 miles on it with a perfect gearbox that isn't always in the shop. It's anecdotal. Some Mercedes are always in the shop. The S80 is a discontinued car now.
Volvo’s commitment to electrification, given today’s battery technology & lack of recharging facilities makes them almost unusable in many parts of the US. I have owned three Volvos in the past. You may just as well leave the US since your vehicles aren’t suitable for our needs.
In Europe so many friends of mine from Medicine changed the super reliable BMW in USA to a Volvo or other brandes because they where always in the shop! You want to talk of reliable , talk of Toyota! that's reliable and they do not pimp there cars 😂 😂

Just ordered one, dual motor blue/blue when the time comes.
There is nothing wrong with chinese production. You have chinese production from low quality to high end quality products.
A lot of car parts that are inside any non-Chinese cars origin from China!

Thanks for making that point. Teslas probably have more domestic content but are notorious for stranding their drivers.
Whoever told you the steering wheel was adjusted using the screen was wrong. Mechanical adjustment.
Wtf it’s a small car what did you expect, how can you comment on the Small trunk as an example it’s a SMAll car.

adas level 3 working in india volvo ex 30
Slightly too small of a vehicle. Should accommodate up to 6’4” adult with ease.
Why? There’s short people who need a smaller car. Why can’t there be a few cars that fit smaller people’s needs versus 100% of cars for tall people?

He was brave. Mercedes is no more reliable anymore!

lol.
I love my electric car. So speak for yourself
Yes Mercedes is now 30% Chinese and reliability is gone to hell. BMW are now the most reliable German premium car and in the top 10 in USA market
Bmw evs are the ugliest things ever made though, they need to just ditch the Hitler mustache grille. Just get rid of it.

The most cheap and pathetic EV ever made.
Volvo.
Made in China.
iPhone, PS5, and all high-quality stuff too.
