It came on the bike when I bought it in 2014. The megaphone was painted red and when I cleaned the paint off to find a blue label that was unreadable. I did some research and found out it was a Bassani Superbike pipe. I think they are pretty rare as I had never come across one. The current badge is a modern one I purchased.
@@range24alberta I had an '84 bought new in '88. I went with a Yoshimura race pipe because i couldn't get a Wolf pipe.I've been running Bassani pipes on my Harleys because I remember when they made 4-1 pipes back in the day
@@range24alberta I have this rare exhausr too on my 1982 kz1000j elr replica replica and it is so rare theres barley any photos or information about the pipe. It seems to be ceramic coated no paint really sticks well if you touch or wipe it will come off. The thru hole is large 3" for offroad/track racing I believe. My pipe sounds nice imo.
