Just a note incase it was mussed, Them metal tabs sticking out on the side of the energy suspension insert are only made to go in 1 way, they are 2 different sizes but they catch a tab a certain way on the other half of the mount on the block
Y’all got some really cool content... building a 92 gmc scswb... it was my dads truck so it has 1000x more sentimental value than $... it’s a 4wd but I’ve already dropped it with a flip kit, and drop keys. Me and a buddy are gonna start blasting and painting it this weekend so I can finish all the suspension stuff before we drop in the Boost ready 5.3
Can’t wait to see this truck on the road. You got me thinking about the LS swap too. Buuuuut imma let you finish it first so i can see the triumphs and the struggles lol
This'll be the 2nd one. I have the the orange/gray truck already. But this one is automatic and there are a few differences. But stay tuned and ill get her done! Thanks for watching!
Omg where do you find all your trucks, I live in southeast Florida, And it's to very hard to run across these trucks, Please help me find a Cbevy Cheyenne Mr. KJ.....
@@CoolCarsKJ They do mount to the frame, but the shell is different with the upper ear being high in the mount. I'll have to look at the totaled 2wd at home to see what the other differences are.
Whats easy about getting up in the frame to put the nut back on or hold the bolt if you swap the orientation? Some people do cut a hole in the frame but I aint doing that, lol.
Westar EM2621... do not use anchor 2621 if you plan to run the energy suspension mounts. They definitely don't fit right in those. Used those on the oramge truck.
Greetings from CALI, I enjoy watching your videos and seeing all the work that the OBS gang is doing. I have a 91 Chevy c1500 with a 4.3 v6,5 speed. My question is On your orange truck when you did the swap, did you use the same transmission or a different one.
I kept the original speed, bro. Are you thinking about keeping it? It won't stand much heavy abuse but will be fine for a daily driver. Also, the later model 5 speeds are suppose to be much more reliable.
V6 have set back plates, you CANNOT use those as far as I know. If you put a v6 and a v8 beside each other, you'll see the difference in the mounts. My stock mounts could have been used (they were original v8 mounts) but the rubber was sideways inside of them so I pulled them soni could install the energy suspension pieces.
@@CoolCarsKJ Thanks for your reply. I've been going through alot of your videos. Thanks for the inspiration, I'm looking forward to getting my swap going.
I seen a few of y'alls videos yall did a ls swap how hard is it want to eventually either rebuild swap stock motors out of same vehicle or just do a v8 swap 283 with some power ad ons
I should have said what all is involved doing a swap would I need the computer n all from the vehicle I got the parts from. Once i get my ride all riding good i want to do a swap
i have being following you on your videos you speier me to do my ls swap on my 94 can you do the wiring on this one i have my harness done but have it see no one connecting the ls harness to the ls harness it ill help me alot thanks
@@CoolCarsKJ i got one form mophorn standalone harness it tell you how it goes intrusion but i have being looking how to adapt it to my obs harness this is my first time doing some wiring
Keep em coming bro. Not to many people get into the small details that keep you up at night. Glad to see you tackle that .
I guess Im kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to watch newly released movies online?
@Kylo Kingsley flixportal

@Kylo Kingsley Glad I could help :D
Your channel is helping and inspiring me to work on my obs thank you.

Good work! Foal paper on the ac lines works good and fast
Man, you gotta have the coolest job ever, they let you guys work on your stuff at the shop. Cool beans
LOL, as much stress as they cause me, I gotta have at least one perk, 😄.

Another nice video every time I finish I gotta go mess around wit my truck keep it up
I love shinny black
Post a video of u taking the motor out and putting it in. Hooking it all up and that first startup. A lot of us would love to see that.
Dropping lots of fire. Wish I had time to record my C10.
Get this guy to a million subs let's y'all

2wd must be more difficult than the 4wd motor mounts. Definitely a 2 person job, but didn't have much issue installing them in my K1500.
if i remember correctly, the 4wd mount mounts to the frame but there nothing on the other side of frame. So you can get to the nuts easy.
@@CoolCarsKJ They do mount to the frame, but the shell is different with the upper ear being high in the mount. I'll have to look at the totaled 2wd at home to see what the other differences are.
I would love to see how you hook up the harness on the white obs when you install it
Motor mounts is easy just cut the bolt and replace it
Whats easy about getting up in the frame to put the nut back on or hold the bolt if you swap the orientation? Some people do cut a hole in the frame but I aint doing that, lol.
I had to duct tape two 14 mm wrenches together to get the top motor mount bolt out😂
We all got a little MacGyver is us lol
Or use a unibit to make a hole big enough to put a wrench in to hole the bolt
Now got me thinking about getting me a Short bed and doing a LS lol.
Can't go wrong with that!
Think I'll do a 6.0 this time my el Camino as 5.3 with a 4L80E but finding a good track up at a price is Rough up here in NJ.
Heck ya man ls swap!! We just out a ls in a scrambler on my channel.
The new mount you sourced. Was that a new OEM mount? If you don't mind sharing the part # and details you found it.
Westar EM2621... do not use anchor 2621 if you plan to run the energy suspension mounts. They definitely don't fit right in those. Used those on the oramge truck.
What are the details on the wheels? Do you have a video about them?
15x10 crager soft 8s with 275/60r15 tires.

You should’ve left the firewall white, but it still look good though 👍🏾
I didn't even think of that but yea that might have looked good.
White leave it white?
Hey my friend, you could have left them mounts on there 4.3,305.350. They are all the same.

@@CoolCarsKJ I had a 4.3 in my truck ,and i used the dirty dingo motor mounts and my 6.0 went right in without issue.I never touched the 4.3 mounts.
@@chappyboylsx2596 you got instagram? Send me a pic or I can send you a pic. If it had set back plates, they usually have to come out. @cool_cars_kj
I'm going to be removing my v6 mounts for my swap. Do you just use a long extension to get to the backside of the bolts inside the frame?
Yes, exactly
@@CoolCarsKJ Thanks for your reply. I've been going through alot of your videos. Thanks for the inspiration, I'm looking forward to getting my swap going.
Which Rustolem paint did you use? is it the high heat resistant one?
Its rustoleum rust reformer. Can get it from advance auto parts
How did u get rid of the old engine harness came wit the truck
Both
did you notch the frame on the orange truck? its sitting the way i want mines
I cant say, it was lowered when we got it. I dont think its done quite right. The 4/6 drop would be very similar.
