Australia’s deep purple/black sabbath. If they were yanks, they would be millionaires. I would literally rather listen to Volcanic Rock than Led Zeppelin, Free or Uriah Heep.
and The Who.....but i think it's the pedal and amp that counts. Deep Purple, the loudest rock band by Guiness Book was using Fender Strat along with Jimi Hendrix but using fuzz, overdrive and bigger amps they can use.
It's because the SG Gibson was the first solid body guitar you could bend the shit out of the G string and not have to retune it immediately. So everyone played em til the foreign stuff started coming out like Ibanez
Remember seeing this band back in the seventies playing at the Lane Cove Town Hall. I stll have three of their albums on vinyl. Give them a play when the wifes out. Just crank it up. Still one of the best bands of their genre/era that I have heard.
I think they played my highschool, granville south. I know cold chisel , hush, dragon and Ted Murry did. I used to know helen dawn who went to auburn girls.
Dang man this is pure gold! Ive never seen any live early footage of buffalo before,i would always listen to there albums thinking shit i'd like to see how these guys look like jamming on stage and here it is! So stoked im totally listening to buffalo again its been some time since the last time
This footage should be synched up with "Stay With Me" or "I'm a Skirt Lifter" and played on a regular basis on VH1 classics. Some of the best stuff from the 70's 99% of the masses that are even into classic rock have never heard. Glad I took a chance and bought that Buffalo compilation CD some years back, have loved these guys ever since.
Do you know what is right Do you know what is wrong Do you know what I mean when I sing my song Best concert I ever saw was Buffalo backing Black Sabbath at the Horden Pav in the 70's. Great times for music. 👍
HEY OZ,,,,,,,,I was 6 rows from the front......however I didn't see you there.....lol......................I'm 72 now and still play their vinyl....I can't think of their only instumental OZ,,,,,Help me out please ?????????????? T..Y..
AWESOME performance, Buffalo totally kick arse! I did some research and found out the title they eventually gave to this song is "United Nations", this live version was actually released on their "Only Want Your Body" album as well as the studio recording en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Only_Want_You_For_Your_Body
re Baxter's recent (2015): BUFFALO's JOHN BAXTER has actually re-appeared with his new studio band NEED4LOUD AND with a NEW CD LIVE2ROCK (2015) You can contact the band and purchase the CD email us on NEED4LOUD@YAHOO.COM.AU The CD has 13 tracks all hard rockin' numbers with 10 originals written by Baxter and Hodgetts. They are -#In It To win It #It Speaks To Me #You Life Me Higher #Nothing Going To Stop Me #P.A.D.A Blues #Nothin' to Lose #Pipeline #Rules #Rock n Roll Renegade #True To Your Ways #Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood#Where Are You Going To? #mystery tune?
Fucking rocking song, especially the pre-chorus. Gonna nick pick and say the bass should be just playing a drone note, not following the guitar melody. Man, buffalo deserved SO MUCH better than they got. They’re way better than early AC/DC.
One the great hard 'n heavy bands ever. I'll put these guys up against just about anybody
Agreed. Heavy and original.
Australia’s deep purple/black sabbath. If they were yanks, they would be millionaires. I would literally rather listen to Volcanic Rock than Led Zeppelin, Free or Uriah Heep.
Heard they opened for Sabbath Back then Too and gave them a run for their money!¡! Almost blew them off the stage.
My all time favourite Aussie band.
Dead Forever
Volcano Rock
I Only Want You For Your Body are a must in my music collection.
Buffalo is one of the best 70s hard rock metal bands ever and that's no bullshit
This is the Australia I remember... hot sweaty and tough.....
And if you noticed, much of the first metal was created using Gibson SG guitars. Sabbath, Pentagram, Iron Claw, Buffalo, and even Blue Cheer.
Budgie too!
It's a great, light guitar to beat on... unfortunately, it looks tiny on a bigger fella. lol.
and The Who.....but i think it's the pedal and amp that counts. Deep Purple, the loudest rock band by Guiness Book was using Fender Strat along with Jimi Hendrix but using fuzz, overdrive and bigger amps they can use.

They just invented the typical stoner rock sound. Crazy that I discovered this way too late

Australia used to be cool. Now its basically the cast of "Love Island"
Funny how the chicks are into this music.

As of 24 August 2021, there are 666 thumbs up and 6 thumbs down. \m/
Buffalo were out shone by other much better Aussie heavy metal bands in 1970s. But still a great band. Very tight.
Really ...!! like who ??
@@robynd970 , The Angels , Rose Tattoo , Cold Chisel & many others.
Completely different bands. No one played stoner/heavy rock like Buffalo. In their particular genre they were masters and NO ONE outshone them.
@@bobdooly3706 never even heard of those bands.
Buffalo is the best
😂 they were boring .
Yawn
También me recordó a Michael Schenker Group, hard rock setentero...!!
