Someone tell Taco Mike to let me test the Vortex, AIM, and GET!
Thanks for doing this . Maybe you should get a GET ecu, and take this test to the next level
And thanks for watching this! I would love to compare all the ECUs, someone needs to get @tacomotoco attention.
The throttle/flameout issue is worst off-road where it stalls just when you need it in the tight stuff.
I got My 21 rl last summer used with 400 miles on it and had the aim ecu , g2 tamer, the steely flywheel weight, and the seat concepts. I can let the clutch out with no throttle and it will go on its own and not stall
Nice, probably the flywheel weight allowing that. I would have added the flywheel weight myself if I did more off-road, but I don't think it's necessary for supermoto.
Stock bike with stock ECU is fine with a slip on. There is enough left in the tune for it. The airbox lid is a restriction and a 2-3hp gain just taking it off. No need for the tuner unless you go to a full exhaust and even then, I think it should be fine without it. The lean popping is the air injection system. If it's not popping, its too rich. It's already 12:1 stock wide open.
I'm not so sold on that it is that bad from the factory
But you can save a lot of weight by switching to aftermarket
exhaust and ECU. It is a plated race bike detuned a little for
reliability I never rode a FI bike before I bought mine Suckers great
Even better with a couple of mods.
What is your thought on the RSC clutch lever vs a Magura hydraulic clutch retrofit?
Personally, I can tell that the Magura lightens the clutch pull some nominal amount... But I wouldn't say it is any smoother or changes the engagement characteristics...
I was considering an ASV lever with the cable to reclaim the Honda simplicity. Plus, after taking a American super camp class where every bike had an ASV lever, I can say they probably had the best feel from any clutch I've pulled.
I compared at least on paper the RSC vs. a magura. The magura adds a little bit more complexity in making sure the system is bled and some have said that it hits the high beam/turn signal cluster so you would also most likely need to get a slimmer switch. RSC is half the cost and 100x easier to install and use.
I just got a brand new 2023 CRF450RL for. $8999. 10,600 otd....
I'm jealous compared to my OTD, but that's what I get for buying at the height of motorcycle pricing.
@@lexdfox i got mine 9999 otd
