Thank you. I am definitely getting one of those fittings. I just spent a few hours working on my steering. In my case not only was the steering tube full of old sticky grease but the the swivel pin was the same. On top of that the rotary rack and pinion under the steering wheel was rusty and slow moving. I have it a lot smoother but still need to fully remove the steering cable and clean out the tube and re grease it.
They are not that much about 20.oo they tell you to drill a hole but you don't need to do that when go to grease it make sure that the steering cable is all the way extended so it gets in there really good your steering wheel will move like butter

Get the right tools. A ratchet on that linkage nut instead of a crescent wrench would save a lot of time.
