If the people in these gangs could settle their arguments over a game of snooker instead of using knives it would be good. Emma is so kind teaching us to save lives .Eight years ago my carotid artery dissected by itself and caused me to have a stroke , I cannot see how a person would injure another person intentionally there are so many accidental dangers ,pollution ,Global warming problems like hurricanes or flooding without injuring someone using a knife. Thanks Emma ,I will forward your videos to others.

It's Oct 2022 and I live in Norwich Norfolk. There is a massive amount of drug and gang stabbings even in this reasonably wealthy and rural city. I'm retired and am active against drug gangs. The police have told time and time again do not put yourself in danger but the difference I have made is massive. Thank you for the advice. It's over fifty years since I did my first aid certificate but now seems time to freshen up my skills. I cycle most places so carrying a basic emergancy kit for this doesn't seem unreasonable. Thank You.

Glad we could help. We would recommend having a first aid refresher course every year if you can.

You know there will be people that sue for losing a limb, even though you were saving their life!

They are extremely unlikely to lose a limb and there have never been any successful cases of someone suing someone else for this in the UK

Great video! How would you use granules to pack a wound and what kind of wounds are these best used for

You are not using granules to pack a wound. You pack the wound with the material impregnated with the clotting agent.

What is your advice for a catastrophic bleed coming from a stab wound to the subclavian vein/artery and possibly penetrating the heart. Say they will bleed out within a minute and you have trauma supplies on hand?

I feel terrified to attempt this in case I make a mistake and make things worse
