Uh.. did Putin not announce a tax rise for small businesses a short while ago? Bad moment to start, I'd say. Well, good luck.

@@andreasmartin7942 The income tax will be increased from 20% to 25%. For some businesses, the tax burden will increase. Small businesses will mostly pay taxes at the same rates as they do now. At the same time, the government is introducing tax incentives for innovative businesses and companies from manufacturing industries.
For the development of small and medium-sized businesses, the use of a simplified taxation system is expanding, when a company or individual entrepreneur pays only one tax. It is proposed to increase the threshold for applying the STS for income to 450 million rubles per year instead of the current limit of 251.4 million rubles.

Lets not forget that he was running a restaurant during COVID times, in Europe and USA this was a devastating time for hospitality industry and many such places went out of business. I'm sure it wasn't an easy time for him either, but he is obviously still doing quite well
I checked out the restaurant on Yandex, over 700 reviews with 5.0 star, this is very impressive!

Hi Sam, the video was good. It is good that you are moving around with different styles of video, not just the same type. I am ready for Broad videos when the weather breaks. You should drive with someone who is experienced with their Lada. All cars have some weak point and I like to hear stories. I am a former mechanic, so I know about bad designs. I've waited for this video for so long! I'm half English 🇬🇧 half Irish 🇨🇮 and live in Russia 🇷🇺 for 7 years. and also am a chef 🧑‍🍳 (idk why I'm using so many emojis, I just felt like it)
So this video relates to me a lot lol. I'd like to work for this guy. If he's reading this, maybe hit me up. 99% of people who come to Russia are either programmers or English teachers or pensioners and it's good to finally see someone who "made it" doing something else. I've been thinking about opening my own little restaurant, I can make banging curries, paellas, and all kinds of cuisines from all over the world, and desserts like banoffee pie, key lime pie etc. And none of those things really exist in russia so I've been wanting to open a place where people can come and try these "exotic"things. But I doubt it would be successful, I mean russian people can't stand spicy food, they can't even stand black pepper or paprika and consider those to be too spicy. They just like plain old meat, potato, and mayonnaise pretty much. And many ingredients for my "exotic" menu idea are either not avaliable at all or really hard to come by here. So my other option is to just specialise in desserts (which I'm also really good at) but desserts aren't really even a thing here. And they already have good cakes and pastries. So I don't even know really. Also people rarely even eat out here, they don't have nearly as much disposable income as in uk or ireland. But maybe all these thoughts are just me doubting myself and making up excuses. I don't live near Moscow atm so people here have a lot less money than they do over there. I mean I can always move. I'm just living where my wife and her family are at. But for now the best option for me to make money is to just go back to the uk and work a few months at a restaurant there and then I can live really well here and support my family with that money for like 2 years, and then repeating that process. But ideally I'd like to find a way to make money in russia. Cause it kinda sucks having to keep leaving. I've tried working at a few different restaurants and factories here but they pay you only 1k rubles for a 16 hour shift. And that's just not good at all. I'm thinking of going back to the uk forever and taking my family with me there. Because at least you can always guaranteed make decent money there and in russia I think it's a lot harder. But of course before I do that I'd like to stay here a while longer and try other things before I move back. Well this Paul lad has shown that it's possible to make it. I probably just have to go to a better city and be more ambitious. Because I definitely like it here more than in the uk. There are a lot more problems over there. And I'm not even sure that they have the "guaranteed financial stability even on minimum wage" what I was talking about. I guess nothing in life comes easily and it's a problem with me and not really the country. Idk man. I'm tired and writing this at 5am lol

Hi, Sam. Polli looks fancy. Not your typical Irish pub like we have here. Also, I noticed in Europe over the past decade or so that a lot of Ethiopian, Georgian, Vietnamese and Mexican restaurants have opened. Without searching, I am guessing these cuisines have diffused to Vladimir and/or Moscow, as well.

Amazing in what way? For a Russian stomach any Irish food is not amazing enough. It's edible but too plain and heavy. Irish coffee is amazing for sure. The best coffee in the world.
