The boxer is one of my favourite songs of all time: maybe we should all be boxers, not letting our guard down and facing our fears, as if they were our opponent, without running away or retreating
Oh good God.. yes you guys still have it! Art definitely has the harder higher part to sing, and still nails it! It’s so nice to see them together and friendly to each other
@Jenifer Pavek, that's always been what made them great. The sheer genius of Artie's high harmony over the top of Paul's melody, ,more often than not, at least in the early days, accompanied only by Paul's acoustic guitar.
@@dyjegoridgeback9319any idea what it’s about , it’s hard to believe even for $$$ they would get together like that. Surely they would do rehearsals etc and get togethers Is it a mutual respect or disrespect ?
Videos such as these are always interesting in that no one knows who the members of the backup band are, yet they are some of the finest musicians in the entire world. Kuddos.
Am 61 so heard all their music growing up. Always liked them but was never a true fan. When I saw this I was astounded. Pauls music & Arts voice was exceptional. I am certainly a fan now. Will keep watching
And what is amazing is that at almost 70 years old they still sound amazing...How many 70 year old singers can still sing? Yes, they have lost some of it but they still sound great after all these years......They are the definition of "Timeless"
Amazing Songs Amazing duo . This is the era when the artists made music Legendary. Such a credit to the music world .Massive applause to you both Simon and Art both music legends .
Thomas Heidrich I really don't know that "old times" were all beautiful. For instance what about the Vietnam war and the protests against it. It was the one war that hit close to home . Fellow students afraid of being drafted....The music then (without all the technical knicknacks available today) though was really wonderful. It did have soul and inspiration to it 👫

And God said, "let there be 2-part harmony"..........and behold............there was Simon & Garfunkel.
I can listen to these songs over and over again. their voices are so relaxing.
Same. They are in a very small group of artists that I can say that about. James Taylor is another one.
The very best version of sounds of silence in my opinion.
Agree
These two guys are the Beethoven of the "old" 20th century.
Never has been, never gonna be a duo like these 2 living legends.
All respects from, Sweden

@@silviazanicotti5054 this verse kept me going when my anxiety first started. "But the fighter still remains."
@@silviazanicotti5054 totally!
How can this music still make my arm hairs stand up to attention?
Notice, NEITHER actually sang the melody!!! They both sang harmony!!! The best concert EVER!!!
Now that is what I call music...😊
Their harmony is unworldly!
Art Garfunkel as a second voice is just phenomenal. Pure class.
Interesting opinion… I never considered Art singing the „second voice“ 🤔. To me Pauls sings second voice. No matter that Paul wrote all the songs.
Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again = Yes
this music is timeless
Amazing.
Geniuses.
Lovely!
Cried as soon as Paul started playing the verse on guitar……
so much respect for this duo... the music industries need this kind of Artist specially this time... Simon and Garfunkel, still the best!!!!!!

My friend was the backstage hand there and said when the cameras were off they walked away and didnt look at each other. Hard to believe
@@mitchfriedman4900 how long did he see them for?

Love the way Paul looks at Art in admiration at the end of " bridge over troubled water"
No dislikes. As it should be. Who could?
Here is wishing you all so much love, happiness and peace

The drummer is quite famous, he is called Steve Gadd.😎
When i look at Art, his performance and his eyes, i don't really see Art. I see the angelic lights coming out from his soul
I see a talentless prick riding on the back of Simon's otherworldly genius.
@@TheFunkloft that’s a bit harsh. After all Paul himself said his music was better when Art sang it.
Cheers from Brazil! Fortunately my father didn't have a collection of CDs, he had a TREASURE! I hope my son learn to listen these classics as I did.
Still amazing....after all those years🍀
my whole life plays within that song as if it was the end of it.......which is my life.
ni el tiemp borra su belleza gracias simon y garfunkel
Great duet over troubled waters
while lasting increasingly delicious like a wine.. magical voice
Their songs permeates the spirit in us.
Einfach nur Mega 👍🏻👍🏻😇 das war noch Musik
I like the subtle Zydeco/Bluegrass vibes in this
Excellent just wish they wouldnt mess around with the original version

WOW...look at d crowd...reminds me of their Central Park concert when they were younger then.
they haven't lost their appeal.

Maybe one of the most touching songs ever, SOS🤫
Thanks Simon and Garfunkel for All those beautiful songs 🎧🎼reminds me of my beautiful youth ! Great lyrics ❤️😓
You guys expressed what you felt in heart. Narratives became the poems and the songs for the poor souls...
After seeing this a few years ago I decided to write my BA Thesis about their lyrics. And you know what? My MA thesis topic was the same.
What was your major?
Wish I could read them! Really great topic.

ただ、音階を重ねてるだけの感じ。
一番の理由は楽器を弾きながらではなく、コンピューターで作るから。
