As a dodger fan even i have to admit this whole situation makes this recent nationals world series win one of the most impressive things ive seen. Beating a cheating team at their home.
Dodger fan but don't care for baseball over yet cheating in any sport is cheap, this they must pay the devil for this act. Even less reason to watch anyone but the Dodgers. I couldn't figure out how they lost twice.

Marcos Gonzalez Astros had a camera that could see the opponents catcher’s sign signals. They used that camera during the game they would secretly communicate to the batter letting them know for example a slider was coming in or a change up

I believe the Nationals knew what they (the Astros) were doing and countered it. The Nats won every away game in the series and probably knew when they heard the banging to change it up.
Captain Q-Ball the Dodgers warned someone on that Nats squad prior to Game 1 of the WS that there was something going on in Houston. They definitely mixed their signs up and became baseballs greatest heroes

I think stripping titles is a meaningless endeavor. I saw those Fab 5 games. I saw those victories even if the NCAA says they don't exist. I saw Penn State win football games and bowl games even if the NCAA say they don't exist. I saw Barry Bonds hit those homeruns. We as people know these events happened. The players and the sports world around them celebrated. The casinos paid out winners and took money from losers. Stripping titles is lame. Just fix the issues we know exist and prevent them from happening in the future.

eoe123321 makes perfect sense. MLB has known about this since 2017 but a scandal this big, you can’t just go out and blame people. They’ve had investigations going along with leads given by other teams players. The only reason it’s barely becoming a big deal is because Jomboy put the whole situation on blast putting pressure on the MLB to act to avoid backlash. To me it seems like common sense when it comes to business. You’re probably just stuck in your own world, don’t keep up and feel entitled to comment.

The more I think about it, the more I realize this might be the biggest scandal to ever hit MLB. This altered careers: Girardi got fired, Kershaw’s career took a dive, the Yankees went out and spent $$ on pitchers thinking theirs wasn’t good enough, guys were traded, etc. Then Alex Cora gets the job with that Sox and does the same thing. Same result. Cora should be banned for life and those players should also receive suspensions

The stats make it obvious, the difference between 1st and 2nd in batting average is typically under 5 points. In 2017 Houston had a 10 point margin over 2nd place and added 40 points to their team batting average in 1 season probably with most of the same guys, a statistician would have noticed they broke multiple records in that season. I suspect the differential between their home and away average is a record what will never be broken.
@@mykofreder1682 Jose Altuve (2017 AL MVP) had a nearly .450 batting average at home while batting a little over .180 on the road. The disparities between his home and away OBP and SP are up there as well. Not only should the Astros be stripped of the 2017 WS title, but Altuve should be stripped of his 2017 AL MVP as well.

Off the top of my head I recall the University of Minnesota had to forfeit their 1997 Final Four basketball appearance after it was deemed a couple players failed exams and were helped by an administrator. Final Four banners at Williams Arena? Gone. All history of them playing in the Final Four? Gone. The Astros should have their pennants taken down, and MLB should not list a champion for that season. That empty spot will be a reminder for teams in the future.

When I lived in Houston (60's-80's) The Astrodome had a trick of blowing the HUGE air conditioner fans towards the infield when the other team was up to bat. And, then blow the fans toward the outfield when the Astros were up to bat.

Altuve was an interesting situation. There's no evidence of him cheating, but he knew it was happening and he definitely benefited from it. He also had to apologize for the biggest cheaters like Correa, Springer, and Bergman. He allowed his team mates to cheat, and it will haunt him forever.

Not really, Basketball is Different because The Defense Allways knows the Offensive Plays and every play has 2 or more counters. In Baseball you can't simply change the pitch or location once the ball is thrown, this is closer to a War scene where your enemy knows where your attacking, The Exact time, place, and with how many Soldiers. It's like being put in a Trap.
