Very helpful video. I have a VW cc with the same engine. It's the worst car I have ever owned unless some its problems can be corrected. I am in the process of replacing the water pump, but the car has an extreme amount of carbon. The oil is black immediately after changing it.
Hi David, i'm also in the process of changing my leaky water pump. How things went for ya?
Direct injection. Carbon clean via walnut blast or chemical. Regardless you are removing the intake. Fuel additives DO NOT REACH THE VALVES. Remove intake and blast or chemical clean those ports. Have fun!!
Thanks, Your video helped me answer some questions.
The white ring on the injector is a Teflon seal. And you need to be careful not to get oil on it or contaminate it. Can cause the injector not to seal in the engine block.
I have one injector on cylinder one which seems to be sticking open. Should I remove the intake manifold?
If you are going to do this, DO A CARB CLEAN WHILE YOURE IN THERE! It is not a small job to get to the fuel injectors on this motor.
Audi a4 b8.5 gave me cylinder 4 misfire on obd reader. Would replacing the injectors do anything ? Stage 1 195hp with a default ecu tune
I am no expert but aren’t those metal clips supposed to be put on after the injector is in place to lock them in place?
Yes
Ya he doesn't care to show important details that probably could cause failure for the unfamiliar DIY shade tree mechanic..JS..vids a bit incomplete and sus...
Great Video!
How many miles were on that?
Can they be cleaned individually rather then bring replaced
The bottom one is washer seal
at 10:13 why is there a smoke coming from the engine bay?
Likely oil/fuel on exhaust when removing manifold/fuel rail
Bcse he was sloppy and didn't cover that area with clean towels or rags..
whats the cost for a job like this? average/ballpark?
$1,440
@@bbjazzmanjazzman7721so I can do myself then let's someone code it? Isn't that better option for amateur? And money ofc😂
Cam chain death rattle
Nop is the high pressure fuel pump
Oh Come On LOL come on....
😅🤣😂🤣😂😂😃😂😂🤣😂
Man u made that look difficult
😆
That looked a lot easier than I thought it would be, now I just have to hurt the wallet and buy the injectors lol
Perfect video,
I’m doing this project next week I’m installing 4 new bosch injector do I need to reprogram the ecu or is it just plug and play
Thank you
He made the installation of the intake manifold more difficult than it had to be
Hey Nathan , i was watching this video which is awesome and very helpful, but would you be able to show how you started from the beginning to take off the fuel injectors from the beginning? i have this issue and that would be very helpful if you had a video from the start , again thanks for this video :)
Intake manifold removal?
@@Tino2o9 yes please
@@geo3948 humble mechanic has a good one. Just look up tsi intake manifold removal. Might be slightly different depending on car but should be relatively the same.
@@Tino2o9 ok great thanks again 😘👍
This is sorta part 2 on this same car..
Why on earth would you do it this way? They should be inserted into the head first and never a need to disconnect the fuel rail,, those bottom seals should be dry. But hey I guess it got done with no leaks so 🤷♂️
I install the injectors into the head. Much easier, fully seat them. Put a bit if silicone grease on o rings then slide the intake and furl rail down onto the injectors- much easier
Why did you replaced instead of checking and cleaning
I agree..wonder why he didn't show checking the OHMS,if they checked out good then all was needed was clean out, squeeze a bit of fuel into the injector ..use 9v battery to energize and check spray pattern on some clean cardboard.. those injectors are insanely expensive.. but
Nice Video, fun to watch..
Man.. lowered.. and chinese dark tail-lights.. i feel bad for that car. handles like crap, looks walmart. The factory engineers and design team DEF knows better than youngsters. And ya.. the girls dont know and dont care anyway about lowering, and blak-outs. haha.. whtvr.
Have to down vote for ZERO video of putting the injectors back into the motor... one of the most important parts.
Shows nothing how to remove from car. What I crap video..
so no carbon cleaning done? It was so easy to get to!
Where can I find that non petroleum no silicone lube?
Thank you for this video. The only one I've found that talks about how to remove the fuel rail from the intake manifold. That was driving me nuts!
I hope ur right about the all vehicle ATF transmission fluid my 08 bmw e93 was a little low so I used it to top it off about 3/4 of a quart
I still use the valvoline max life multi vehicle for those , never had a issue
What’s up Nate
There’s a snake in my boot
That's crazy you pulled out the intake manifold with the injectors in place!. Must have done a lot of prying with screwdrivers.. yikes
Would this be the same procedure for an Audi A4 Quattro 2013?
Yes it would
Yes same engine.. quattro=4 WD..
i have a 2009 Passat KOmfort. the intake is basically if not exactly the same. why do the replacement seal kits come with this one extra piece? looks like a ring with 3 short ...legs. do i need this pc? or is this like an appendix? Has a purpose but not really necessary. thanks.
once the new injectors have been installed... do they have to be coded via diagnosis... or is it simply enough to change them?
Hey did you ever find this out? Sucks Nathan never replied back to you. I'm needing to know this information myself. I've found that the TDI engines with the massively sized injectors need to be reprogramed to the car but I can't find any info regarding our 2.0T FSI engines.
@@Viper3870750any updates?
@@Viper3870750 From what I understand, you just simply replace the injectors without programming anything.
In a few months I will install the new injectors.
Droselklape muss neu programmiren!
These injectors are easily washed, then checked and put back into the car.
What was the problem ? Codes ? Or why u change em
Did u not see the video?
I'm more curious as to how you got everything out without separating the manifold....
Ticking might be the dual mass flywheel
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Eric Joziah instablaster =)
Actually not necessarily. Those direct injected engines make alot of noise thanks to the fuel injectors. The engine cover and hood has sound proofed to muffle those sounds from being heard in the cabin. Just needs to reinstall the engine cover and close the hood.
Thanks Nate it’s definitely cheaper
How many miles are on the car? Did you say..?
How much would this cost to have someone do it
Would it cause the car to run lean as well?
Nice video even tho I have a 3.2
What were the symptoms of bad fuel injectors.. currently feel like i’m going through this with my 09 audi a4 quattro premium plus and i’m not sure 100% sure if it’s injectors or timing chain……..
I had a stuck open injector and the car shut that cylinder off and it reeked of fuel. Pulled the plug and it also smelled like fuel.
Have you changed the timing chain?
@@crylas3637 i have not actually what would be symptoms of bad timing chain
@@chiefg71 well it would be throwing a code that would really to a cam/crank position or correlation
Thank you so much
A hard whaaaaat?
Enjoy the videos dude but I am a bmw slash Chevy man, but I will still keep watching learn something new every day keep up the good work Nate
Do you need any coding just swap the new ones on and erase the codes?
You will need someone with a decent scan tool that can erased stored codes..
Do i have to adapt new injectors ?
I replaced mine now im getting misfires epc light rough idle i replaced spark plugs and coils cleaned valves
Did you fix it
@@jonmayo1658 same problem
What happened? Did u get it?
@@snoopy5736 no i cant figure it out code is 192700 open circuit not getting power to aux pump already replaced pump and fuse is good
You don't need to adapt the injectors. But you will need to clear all the engine codes so the ecu can learn based on the newly installed injectors. If the issues persist most likely you'll need to re-inspect your work for any mistakes in re-assembly.
