Two Leg Hi Hat with Double Kick Pedal

Why a 2 leg hi hat is less trouble than a 3 leg hi hat when you have a double kick pedal.

you might try putting the slave pedal to the left of the high hat. For me the hi-hat position is most important. The double kick I don't use all the time and I prefer it with a wider stance to the left of the hi hat

The hi hat pedal is basically the 3rd leg
