I’ve been in the mobile and Baldwin county area for 12 years and I’m noticing a lot of Texas, Florida, Louisiana tags are those contractors or new residents coming from those areas I know Pensacola residents work over here but the Texas license plates I see way too often someone said those are rental vehicles but it’s hard to tell either way mobile is growing and the traffic will get worse once people find that lower Alabama is a hidden gem 💎
You've definitely noticed the same thing we have-lots of out-of-state plates, especially from Texas, Florida, and Louisiana. It's a mix of both contractors and new residents. With the growth happening in Mobile and Baldwin County, a lot of people are discovering what a hidden gem Lower Alabama really is. Pensacola folks working here makes sense, but those Texas plates? Some might be rentals, but there's definitely an influx of new residents. As for the traffic, while it's picking up, I still think it's a breeze compared to big metro areas. We love that about living here-it’s a growing area without the constant gridlock you’d see in larger cities. Definitely a great time to be here!
Hi Tony and Jessica 👋🏼 I plan on moving to L.Alabama with my son for a couple of reasons, and one of them being the people. I absolutely love Southerners. My personality and views are more aligned with the south than the west for sure. We want to be in the heart of the south where we can feel a sense of real community plus tatse authentic, delicious southern food. We NEED to feel our community, and in California, there is unfortunately none of that. I hate that it is overcrowded and too expensive unless you are rich and can afford your lifestyle. We plan on moving in less than 5 years. We NEED your help finding affordable housing near Fairhope. Please 🙏🏽
Thank you for reaching out! We completely understand where you're coming from-there’s something truly special about Southern hospitality, community, and, of course, the incredible food! Fairhope and the surrounding areas definitely offer that sense of connection and warmth you're looking for. It's a great place to be, with a slower pace, more affordable living, and a real sense of belonging compared to the hustle and expense of places like California. We’d be happy to help you and your son find the perfect home in Lower Alabama. There are definitely affordable housing options near Fairhope, and we can guide you through the process to make sure you find something that fits your needs and budget. We can work together to explore different areas and ensure you find the right place that makes you feel part of a true Southern community. Let's get started by booking a time to chat: calendly.com/yourrealestatefam and let's discuss what you're looking for in more detail so we can start gathering some options for you. Looking forward to helping you make this transition!
the only thing I miss about Ohio is the food scene, I miss being able to get authentic Indian and other cuisines as well as amazing pizza joints. the weather is amazing and I love it!
I totally get what you mean! One of the things we really miss about Chicago is the food scene, too. There’s just something special about being able to grab authentic dishes from so many different cultures, not to mention the pizza-nothing quite compares to a great deep-dish or a classic Chicago-style dog. It’s funny how food can make you nostalgic for a place! Even though the weather is better down here, there’s no denying that finding those authentic eats can be a challenge. We still crave some of those Chicago staples and unique spots we used to frequent. But hey, it makes those trips back up north even sweeter, right?! Glad you're enjoying the weather, though! It's definitely a better trade-off in our eyes!!
Mobile Alabama native Here for 30 years downtown Mobile is the only area where there are things to do other than that if you grew up in the suburbs like me your options are limited
What exactly are you referring to when you mention the "true cost of electricity" in Alabama? Would love to hear more about what you mean and what you're thinking-sounds like it could be mentioned in a video for sure!
