We adopted the poodle last week and HE IS A GEM! He got a haircut so he can see now, and he is absolutely as sweet as they come. Thank you, Asher House and Family Dogs! 💙💙💙
Oh that's awesome to hear. His before and after photo must look magnificent. A whole village helping these pooches. Grateful to know there are still Good humans out there❤
Thanks. He is Rasta dog. They look chill
❤❤❤❤❤
il est magnifique 🥰
God bless you❤❤❤❤
I just want to say thank you to the gentleman who surrendered his beloved animals to you Lee . He is a true example of a responsible pet owner . Thank you Lee and your team for helping him out .
Responsible pet owners give up their animals rather than doing everything possible to keep them and give them what they need? That's the definition of an animal lover now? Wow.
That's the quickest pick up I seen yet
I wouldn't agree because a lot of times rescues do not have room for all these animals and a lot of times people want to just get rid of their animals for nonsense reasons. I've seen you know of course the moving one but I've seen where people say they don't have a big enough backyard or they don't like the color of the animal just everything you can imagine. Being a responsible pet owner is taking care of your pets and yes finding them a good place to go if you can't but a lot of people don't because most rescues are full and then a lot of times they will either dump them or just find anybody to give them to which is also really horrific because then they end up getting abused a lot or passed around to different homes and it's just awful. They definitely don't do the due diligence A lot of them don't even know if a rescue is a good place they do not research anything or really care. So I can't agree there. I would say I'm thankful to lee for taking them because then we know they're going to A good place but it's a rare occasion where Lee would have room for so many animals for everybody that wants to give up their animals.
All of the animals seem well cared for and loved.
So how's the weather in bizarro world?
Give this people credit for handing their pets to Asher house and not abondaning their pets on the street
no
@@jarrodhall3686jealous much
@@GeorgiaLass-q8bJealous? Of people who dump their pets? Do you even know what you're trying to say? Nobody else does.
right?! we all need help and support, it is good when we come together with compassion and kindness and do so!
Hi, Lee. I admire you so much. Is one one of the dogs a rasta...... it looks so funny with its hair... I'm sure all these animals will find peace, love an care at Asher House.
Bless you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
That 12 year old shepherd looks to be in amazing shape. He seem to have been really well looked after. Pleases tell me he's joining your seniors and has a home with you for life
I hope so too. It is sadder that a 12 year old dog has to adapt to new owners, but with Lee this seems like the best outcome if it has to occur. Like dear Lee calls his ranch a sanctuary.
@@ForestSageStylesMy 4th rescue I’m on my 5th now, he was 11yrs & 4 months old a big Bull Arab he was bigger than my two German shepherd’s I’d had, even though I only had him 2yrs & 1 month if it wasn’t for the very rare aggressive cancer he got, he would have lived to a ripe old age, My German Shepherd had lived until she was 18yrs old and very mobile and puppy like until the last 2 weeks. But my Senior Bull Arab I was able to train him to leave my friend’s cat alone so when we house sat and dog sat he was best buddies with my friend’s English Staffy, but they all would sleep on the bed with me, and he settled in very well. My current fella was brutally abused and was shaking nearly the whole 2.25hrs home from the city, but I fed him treats most of the trip, he is the only rescue I’ve had that slept right through the first night, though he had never had a dog bed, and he was very stiff when I lifted him onto my bed, as it was winter and he came from the desert I bought him a dog coat on the way home as he is a shorthair dog, and when I put him on my bed, and put a blanket on him, he slept like a log, although he didn’t go to the toilet for 30hrs he still ate and drank, he was terrified of all humans except for kids and older ladies, I had to go very slowly and gently with him, just using positive training methods and building up his confidence, he is a real sweetheart, he is great with dogs and my friend’s cat, when we house and pet sit, and also farm sitting for another friend. You can definitely teach old dogs new tricks.
Where is Tommy ?
@@llkay3397Timmy runs around. Not always running with them..hey, it’s Tommy’s thing…lol love it
@@gailremp8389 good to know 🥰 thank you 😊
No one is accusing owner(s) of not caring. It's awful giving up your pets. Proud of owners that do so legitimately vs dumping.
The dog in the back window was smiling when his head was out❤
It is true
Yeah and he didn't wait until things were out of control before he did it. I do hope he was able to keep one pet, though. We don't know his story, but I hope he doesn't have to loose everything.
I came home from the Dr's appointment the other day and someone set out two little kittens 1 had gotten killed and the other one was crying so hard and needless to say I am raising the other one. it was right below my mail box. I don't see how people who do things like that can sleep at night.
I had to do it once. It was devastating. It would kill me to think that people were passing judgment on my unavoidable decision.
And Minnie got adopted four weeks later! 💓
I live in UK , I just wanted to share my story with you all. From 5 yrs I have very strong depression I stopped leaving my home and I don't have co tact with a lot of people. One day 4 months ago I just checked a website of our local RSPCA and I saw Pablo....it was a love from the first sight ❤️ I was not aware he have some behaviour issues when I found him. I decided I want to meet him. They told me it will take a long time for him to get use to me, I decided to try . We had 10 sessions 2 hours each ,2 times a week in next town. On the beginning I could not even touch him or talk to him ,we could only walk with him and his carers on a walks. Pablo is with me from 2 months THIS IS THE BEST BABY BOY I EVER KNEW! I LOVE HIM LIKE I NEVER LOVED. AND I THINK HE LOVES ME TO ❤❤❤THANKS TO HIM I STARTED TO GO OUT AND IM NOT ANXIOUS.Pablo is my saver ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for always being kind and using discretion when talking about these situations. You are a man of integrity.
Adopt don’t shop, indeed. Thank you dear, sweet Lee Asher. You inspire us all to be better people.
...and definitely, don't irresponsibly *_breed_* hundreds of animals. Bei g responsible means *spaying or neutering,* or *separating* females from males.
I’ve been in the position of no longer being able to afford taking care of a pet. It’s devastating so thank you Lee, for not judging.
I'm an American living in the UK and when I went for a facial today I mentioned your sanctuary and was so surprised when she said oh I love Lee's sanctuary! Ha, just made me feel happy.
That is so cool!
Oh that is really cool! Small world praying for UK
I’m in the UK , been watching his channel for a while .

That last video capture of the dogs running free on the green grass field is how I imagine our beloved deceased pets live when they cross the Rainbow Bridge. Free and without fear or pain. Thank you Lee for giving the animals what they need and deserve!❤️
I miss my departed fur babies - how I wish I could hug and kiss them even for the last time ❤❤
@@cocoshi2306 I feel the same.
He is truly the Angel that guards the Gate to the Rainbow Bridge!❤
100% agree, it is truly what is meant by peace and love. Such an amazing place. Which is where we will be forever when we rejoin all of our babies and friends
Your sanctuary should expand little by little all over the world, so that in the end it will be paradise on earth again - with no room for evil. Thank you!
Hello, thank you very much for the love and support that you have be showing to me and the fur babies , i really do appreciate
Or by leaps and bounds
OMG! That is one of the BEST Wishful Hopes for the future of this World. I would absolutely love for that dream to come true!!! What a Wonderful World that Would Be!✌️😇✨️🌈🌬🕯🤍🕊🌎💫✨️🤍🙌🤍
So glad he decided to relinquish the remaining animals. He’s so lucky to have the best place in the world to relinquish them. Thank you Lee and Asher House for being there for these beautiful babies. ❤ And Lee you already like all of them! 😂
Can you believe that these dogs were smiling once they rode in Lee’s truck? They felt pretty good themselves. Thank you, Lee for being a great rescuer!
Wanting to adopt or 'rescue' animals is a lovely thing - but first, you need to be aware of what is involved with taking care of those animals, what the expenses will be, etc. Sadly, a lot of people who 'rescue' animals find themselves in over their heads. Lee and his crew are smart - they definitely know what they are doing. Donate to The Asher House so Lee and the staff can continue to rescue and take care of needy animals!
I agree with you but please be compassionate for those whose circumstances change over decades.
Hey, there are a lot of good rescues out there that know what theyre doing
I have two rabbits that were dumped and I adopted them. They are so loving, I'm so happy you took this rabbit in. I'm so happy for the dogs, and pig and cats, too. I'm grateful they are in your care now.
The golden sky, the birds, the green grass, and the beautiful dogs, free and safe. Pure JOY.
You and your team are saints. I'm crying...
Lee is our modern day Saint Francis. 🤍
@@synchronicity1470 You are right. It would be nice to have a statue of Saint Francis in the sanctuary
I AGREE ❤❤❤LOVE YOUR POST!
I honestly commend the man for reaching back out and acknowledging he needed help, istead of just dropping them off somewhere. I could only imagine how hard that could be!
I am so extremely grateful for Lee and the Asher House and everything they do, and all the lives they have, and will save! The black great dane was skin and bones but we all know that will not last for long! I am dedicated to the Asher House and will be tell the day I die!! As always #adoptdontshop
Oh by the way, Discovery needs to have a 2nd season of Meet the Pack!!
I'm sure it was so hard for him to make that decision. Praying for him & his family 🙏🙏
I love rescue day. Yay!!!! Thank you Lee. So glad he reached out. It has to be tough for anyone to surrender animals. I would like to hope that these animals were loved and taken care of but maybe circumstances made it impossible to keep them. No matter the reason, he reached out to you Lee. I see strays everyday. I'm trying to rescue a terrier mix here. It's so upsetting as he's terrified of me that he runs. Pray for me to succeed. Im determined. So for this man to let them go, says a lot that he cares for their welfare and again, it has to be very hard. No judgement, we need to be kind. God bless you, Lee. Love these days. Love you for taking them. ❤❤❤
Is there any one around who could lend you a trap?
I did rescue. Same problem. Fear makes them run but you'll succeed. Don't give up.❤❤❤
@@maureenobrien9815 He's really cute. Terrier mix. He's been in our yard for about a week. We live in a subdivision backed by woods and other subdivisions. We don't have a fenced in yard so they can come here. Pasture behind us. I have fed litters of kittens found homes and as I.pulled out of my driveway yesterday finding a man and his child looking for their dog! I literally had just seen it in our back yard too! My husband ended up going through the neighborhood until they found his dog! This is daily here! This terrier is scared and anxious. No collar either. I'm determined! Thank you!
@@shalacarter6658 I ll have to see. Here if you feed a stray or aid them, animal control deems them as "yours". It's a no kill but still. I have called so many times they know me! Most of the dogs have collars. I call their owners. One day I called a dog while in my car, opened the door and she jumped in and sat on my shoulders! Scared me! Lol. Found her home too! They come to me! Lol I ll keep trying. Will get a pic post on our neighborhood site.
❤❤❤
That was very admirable of the owner to know he can’t properly take care of the animals any longer. It’s a difficult decision to make and even more difficult to ask for help. Thank you for all your help.
Beautiful. And good this man to get the best help for his animals. He clearly loves them.
People need help for reasons that are no ones business. They did what was best for their animals. I am greatful they did the right thing! ❤
Must be sad to give them up but they couldn’t be going to a better place …. I love the Rasta poodle!
Words cannot express how much I admire and respect Lee and people like him. He is an amazing person and people who do what he does are Angels on Earth.😇🐾🐇🐈🐖🐎
Thank you for rescuing all your puppies . They are so very blessed. God Bless you and your family always.
Love that you rescued a pig! An acquaintance of mine is a pig rescuer down in So Cal and she gets MULTIPLE calls A DAY with people trying to offload their pigs, because people bought into the 'mini pig MYTH' (b/c that's not a real thing, and the ACTUAL smallest pig alive is still pretty decently large). People out here selling baby pigs as promises... when they take FIVE YEARS to grow to full size and then they outgrow the homes and the laws that govern them and then people dump them. It's SO FRUSTRATING. For anyone out there... please support Lil Orphan Hammies in Solvang!!! Sue is an amazing woman who selflessly spends every dime she has keeping as many pigs as happy as she can!
100+ dogs? Wow! Heaven on earth. Well done guys!❤
A lot of ppl who give up their pets do so lovingly but reluctantly. Asking for help takes courage, letting go of ego and fear. To judge or shame someone for that is like negative reinforcement, and it likely means they won't ever ask again. Better that Lee takes the animals bow before the situation gets too out of control. Thanks for also taking more shelter dogs from CA.💕🐾☮️
I really feel bad for the people who had to give up their pets, but thank God they reached out to you and you could help rescue them, I truly respect what you do for all these beautiful animals and the way you share things with us to help us with any of our pet questions over time watching what helps you sometimes helps us.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND FUR BABIES TOO ALWAYS!!!!!!!❤❤❤🐎🦊🐕🐩🐖🐐🦆🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
You seem to like emojis - I wonder why there's no "gawd" emoji. Oh, yeah - because _there is no "gawd."_ "It" *doesn't exist* - except in the _minds_ of people who were most likely *indoctrinated to religion* as trusting _children_ by their _parents,_ long before their *prefrontal cortex,* which is responsible for *critical thinking skills,* _hasn't fully developed_ (by mid-twenties), when they can discern *fact* (science) from *fiction* (religion).
3:19 Portuguese Water Dog for anyone curious about the breed. Not a poodle.
I thought so!
Not a Jamaican Water Dog?...lol
Yep, it’s a portie. I’ve had these dogs and they are wonderful dogs, but they stay puppies for 3+ years, and can be very willful. But I loved them with all my heart. ❤️
I was going to say the same!
I thought the same thing!
I have a softspot for rabbits. Thanks, Lee, for including it in this precious group of rescues.
@user-xk7ui1mr1b Me too! I was surprised that he took a bunny. Makes me happy. Too many of them are dumped too. 😢🐇
Thank you Lee. You are an amazing person. Once again, you have saved lives that otherwise would have suffered. You ARE an amazing human being.
Wowowow!! Thank you Lee / Asher House for yet another great rescue of a whole lot more dogs, bunny & pig. You’re living your life’s purpose. You’re an incredibly beautiful soul Lee 🐾🐾✊❤️
This is definitely your calling .....you are so good with these animals. Thank you for all you do.
PLEASE don’t change the poodle/doodle’s hair!!! I sighted him yesterday’s video and thought I was hallucinating!!! He’s the coolest Rastafarian looking dog I’ve ever seen! Perhaps you can get a beanie for him to keep his hair out of his eyes! Love this channel and all you do! Sort of missing Tommy!!!
Bob Marley
Well it might look cool but he's not the type of dog that actually grows knots... I forgot the one that grows dreadlocks but they would be hard to take care of as well and it can become painful because when poodles aren't brushed out everyday with their curls they become knots which can then of course infect the skin and cause all kinds of problems. I owned poodles for years and they've got to be brushed everyday. I'm sure Lee will get it dealt with because he has groomers and anybody that has had a poodle knows that when they getting curly cues like this they are knotted often. Poodles are supposed to be poofy not the corkscrew. That's why. Knots can get tight, painful and of course cause skin rot etc. plus eye infections if it hangs in their eye and isn't washed a lot. I've had poodles and tzus for years. A lot to keep up but good dogs
The dog that grows dreads is a Hungarian Puli.
I think there is a dog called Pumi also.
Same!
You can tell the gentleman loved each one of the animals he surrendered. It's not easy to let them go when you love them so much, even with knowing that you can't give them everything they need.
The “ poodle “ looks very like a Spanish Water Dog . I live in Spain and have friends that own them and this one really looks like one . ( probably wrong but just thought I would mention them ) x
As an animal lover I can understand how someone can get themselves into a situation they can’t handle so a major kudos to this man for admitting he needs and seeking help. A HUGE thanks to animal sanctuaries like yours who help as much as they can!
What lovely people to recognise and accept the fact that they are not coping and contacting the Asher House, where they know their beloved pets will be cared for and loved. 🙂
Oh, yes - so "lovely" of them to let them *starve* and probably go without shots. And *_400 rabbits?!_* That's quite *irresponsible!*
@@wholeshebang1 The act of not dumping his animals and reaching out to the Asher house is responsible. No one's saying the way his animals were cared for was responsible or not. I'm sure you got plenty of rocks to throw from your glass house of judgment. 🙄
@wholeshebang1 you clearly weren't paying any attention when the chap said the dogs were up together with their injections. Do you really think that Lee would have introduced them all so quickly to the rest of the pack if they weren't medically safe enough to be with them, or are you saying that Lee is irresponsible and cares so little about the welfare of the pack that he would deliberately introduce infection risks to them?
Perhaps one should engage ones brain before one engages their mouth
At 4:17 the boy with the *"interesting haircut"* !! ❤
I was just asking after yesterday's video when I saw him running in the field if anyone knew his name and when he was brought into the pack. No one else seemed to know so now we see him arriving! Definitely an :interesting haircut"!!
❤ 🐾
That was the same thing I was wondering...when did this guy get there?? He stands out in a crowd ❤😊
I called him Bob Marley on the last video❤
@@chrismorgan9153 after seeing Lee's comments yesterday while in the vehicle I have a feeling that he may trim that back. Lee will go with function over form but I for now it was definitely an "interesting look" for a "smelly boy" !
I think that Lee was holding back comments as he picked up a second load from whoever that person was. They may have had hordes of pets because Lee showed some disapproval at how they were unkept, unbathed, and possibly unfed.
They will be okay now!
@@jaray2555 he was definitely rocking that look even if he couldn't see!
@@IntriguedLioness I hope he keeps the look. It definitely makes him stand out. If he can't see, then I won't complain if they cut it. That was definitely an interesting situation at that house. As much as I love animals, I know my limits, physically, emotionally, and financially, and my head has to win over my heart most of the time. I can't wait to see what he calls Lee to come pick up the next time because you know there's going to be a third call.
You are on a mission my friend and it is a noble one.

what a beautiful rescue. I think the man had the best intentions with his animals but maybe it was too much. He reached out to the Asher house and that is awesome. Thank you again for all that you are doing for the animals Asher House. ❤❤
Thank you rescuing these sweet puppers.
I always learn something ❤
I don't know the circumstances, but this family has truly done the best by their animals and reached out for help. Lets gope others don't judge based on the very little facts that Lee is rightly keeping quite, it's not our business. What Lee has even said is that he is proud of them, so let's just focus on getting these guys new homes, and appreciate what Lee and the whole Asher house does.
Thank you Lee for taking in the animals.
You are a Angel.
If this person reached out to you for help, I don’t really consider that a rescue. Rescuing is when people are abusing or neglecting their animals and they don’t give a crap. This person obviously wanted his animals to go somewhere and be taken care of and thank you so much for doing so, unless people are severely abusing their animals or neglecting them not due to the lack of money but the just the lack of empathy, compassion, and concern no one should talk nasty about them. They should all be given credit for reaching out and trying to make things better for their animals unfortunately, in this day and age, so many people are losing their jobs their health, whatever thank you for being there for all of these animals. We do have a sanctuary in California we take on a lot of animals from other rescues that are closer to the end of their life for whatever reason. Knowing they might not live another month it is very hard at least we can tell ourselves. We gave them the best, happiest, most loving life till the end I’m going to continue to watch your videos someone suggested them to Me we can all continue to learn
LEE IS AN EXEPTIONAL PERSON. I ADMIRE HIM FOR HIS ENDLESS LOVING HEART
God bless lee for what he does

Thanks again Lee for taking these animals 🥰
My heart goes out to the owner. How devastated he must be. Prayers for him and his family.
I love your reasoning for helping every animal is because “I don’t want to be rude…” 🤣👏👏👏♥️🐾
Why these people have so many animals that they cannot care for is nothing less than infuriating!!! Poor animals........Thank you Lee for helping these helpless, precious beautiful angels!❤️🐾🙏
Maybe when they first got the animals they could cope. Then life and time changes things.
There are things that happen in life. People get older and sicker.
We don’t know the man’s circumstances - times are hard, what with the pandemic & rising living costs since then. Maybe he lost his job in the pandemic, or he’s sick so can’t work, or maybe he had a partner who died. Really we should be feeling compassionate towards him - it must have been hard to give up so many of his animals. But at least the animals will be in a better place now, & hopefully it means that life will be easier for the man too.
There are people who have animals they can't care for and would rather neglect them than to find them a new home or surrender them to a rescue. Surrendering or rehoming animals you can't provide for IS caring for them.
Catastrophic things happen in life. My life changed in an instant from an injury. They could have had the money, space, staff, etc . until something happened. Everyone claims to care but very few actually DO anything to help when you are in a crisis or long term medical situation.
Oh the baby sitting in the front seat! My heart ♥️
Aloha! Asher house should be renamed The Asher Farm 🙂. Mahalo!
I am not sure there is a heaven but if there is I hope it is just like those last 3 minutes!
Lee, could we get an OG Update? Like How are the Asher OG's doing? The GOATS. THe one's prior to when you started adopting dogs out. There are so many new dogs, I feel like we are losing sights of the OG's Like Tommy Boy, Moo, Butters, Matilda etc...
What a paradise for these fur babies.
Is this the first rabbit at the sanctuary?
The new critters joining the Asher House are wonderful additions!
Have a feeling he already has a couple there, but I’m not 100% sure - my memory is terrible!
They're all so sweet. That Shepard's smile was so precious 💞
Merci Lee de tout ce que vous faites afin de venir en aide aux bébés qui pour une raison ou une autre sont délaissés par leurs humains🥲
Toute ma gratitude 🙏
Once again, not rescue day it's
Hero day, that's you, Lee, and all your staff.
Thanks to the generous family that reached out to you. Animals are so hard to give up.
You're the best❤
Thank you for your desire to help!!
This blows my mind that this many dogs can be together without fighting. I only have 4 dogs and have problems. My foster dog got his foot stuck in the kennel and started yelping and all the other dogs ran to attack him. I can't imagine that scenario happening with 100 dogs 😳 definitely interesting the way dogs think and react to things.
I think Lee & the team allowing the dogs to express their boundaries without stepping in to intervene is a big part of it. As he was saying in the video, it’s when his energy starts getting tense & ramped up that fights can start.
Thank you for putting the animals' best interests, first. Kudos to owners and always, Lee❤
I watch your channel alllll the time. I think you are AMAZING. I looove animals. I’m from Australia. Im forever grateful for what you do. ❤
