Great video. Thanks for showing the complete removal. With the knowledge I just gained, I'm sure the removal will go flawlessly.... I'll let you know if it doesn't. Thanks again.
Hi, I have this same radio, the car was without use for 1 year and after that the radio as soon as you turn the volume 1 step the front right speaker makes a big hum at around 80 Hz and leaving the radio ON for about 15 minutes it dicipates but right front speaker is giving too much bass, I am suspecting on a defective capacitor in the preamp section, have you ever have this noise ?
My 2001 Highlander radio after long time without use start to make a faulty high frequency ground noise about 10 khz in the left channel and a 50 hz wave signal very strong in the front right speaker, after some minutes on it turns less amount of noise and both noise only goes with the volume at minimun, as soon I turn up the volume a bit the 10 khz ground noise appear and the right channel bass hum, the bass hum tends to go after a while putting some loud music but the 10 khz ground noise never goes, has someone has this problem ?
hi, I just removed the factory stereo from my toyota highlander 2003 and I also got a JVC KD- X200 stereo. My question is : there is one 20 holes plug and one 12 hole plug, and there are two round holes, one bigger, one smaller. I know the bigger one is power, right? I also find a big round hole on the JVC one. However on the JVC, it's a 16 hole plug. what kind of wiring adapter to connect the 20 hole to the 16 hole? BTW, whats the function of the 12 hole plug, I dont see any thing on that when I removed the factory stereo. Thank you so much! Merry X-mas!
Great job on this video and many thanks! You made it look easy and it truly was easy. Toyota engineering is some of the best in the world world

Honestly your videos are perfect, straight to the point and very informative. Very nice video my man 👌👌👌
Thank you for this video , replacing system for my daughter as a treat
Thanks for this. I am contemplating changing mine out. The volume knob doesn’t work good and it jumps off frequency a couple of mhz randomly
Removal is great, but how do we repair it now as the video label states?

Terrible. You say repair in title but there is no repair. Waste of time
