    Just got an old Emaxx and am about to start laying the dosh into it for aluminum parts but I've been wondering if that was even worth it. If I could upgrade it even further down the line with brushless motors. Nice content and a wonderfully informative video thanks for the upload! Edit: mine came with 19T pins and a 66T spur but I'm running those twins on a 72T now. It's been a lot of fun. I read another comment you left on another comment saying this was the car you couldn't afford as a kid and that's the same here and now that I have it I'm excited to be able to really experience it!

      Well then you are about to have a wonderful time.!! I loved every single minute with this rig. I hate that I had to let it go. It was a work of art, a project that is never really finished. The sight of two motors, ESCs, spurs and pinions... and yes, it's totally worth it. The sound it makes with any brushless setup is like nothing else out there. No matter if you spend 100$ on two brushless setups or 800$, they will both make your hair stand up. Mine sounded like a harrier jet at speed. I never really harnessed all of the power. Hopefully you will. Good luck and keep me posted. If you have any questions hit me back anytime. And thank you for your amazing comment.!! 😊🏎🏆

      Any advice would be appreciated. I have to emaxes and they are both brushless of course. I can't keep the front end on the ground with just 6s and one brushless motor. It's so fast I have to drop it down to four cells to be able to race it at a decent track. Course that's my supermax version that I race. I guess you could go 12 cells with two brushless motors. Although I can't imagine why you would want to. I'll be curious to know what modifications you made to be able to handle two brushless motors

    I’ve had my Dad’s Emaxx for a very long time and a few years ago I replaced the batteries and drove it around with my son but as we all know it’s severely underpowered. It’s been on the shelf for awhile now and it is in mint condition but you’ve inspired me big time to make these upgrades! What’s the best motor/sec setup I can install and did you run dual Lipo batteries? I need to figure out exactly how you wired both esc’s into one receiver and tie in that upgraded transistor. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

    • @AMAZINGRC
      @AMAZINGRC  Рік тому +1

      You are not gonna believe this, but I ran two completely different setups. Two of everything.!! 2 motors, two batteries and 2 ESCs. As long as everything is new and charged equally you will have no issue. As far as what to use. I did both an inexpensive set and after that I spent almost 600 on two 150 Amp MAX10 BRUSHLESS ESCs, Motors and new high capacity/ high C-rating batteries. It sounded like a harrier jet.!!

      @@AMAZINGRC I must have model prior to yours because motor and esc’s have a different placement. Any ideas for making room for both esc’s in a limited space. I’m thinking of stacking them since I have the height but was curious on your ideas? Also do you have a link for the upgraded transistor so I don’t smoke the receiver? Lastly did your setup retain the 2 speed transmission?

    Good set-up. I have 2 Summits with dual set-ups. Did the dual Dewalt 820s ( not recomended. Heavy as a horse.) As long as that left me with an extra Summit motor...Well... Why would I not pair them up in the other Summit. Turned out better than the Dewalts.But, the torque of the Dewalts is more than overkill. Just in my opinion. The speed a motor runs is just that. No matter if you have 4 motors (Hummmm) less stress will give you a bit more speed.

    Would it be possible to use just a single one of those systems at all? Or would the sheer size of the tires and weight of the truck be too much and just burn up the esc/motor?

      Oh yeah and another thing from my tests and all the motors ive tryed and tested those more basic surpass bl motors are a slightly lower aluminum quality then some others that are $5-$6 dollars more. I'm with you I have no desire to run two engines on that thing it makes no sense. I mean if I was going for a speed run and trying to break a record or something maybe but it just seems like extra hassle and extra weight. Not to mention extra money. The original twin titan emax I can understand because they did not have brushless motors back then.
