You’re right, the bass line is deceptively simple compared with the killa bass line in Mulitply (man, I’m still humming that days later), but very effective for the song itself and the subject matter, the tense realisation that shit ain’t what it used to be and nothing can be done because it’s already happened. Keep it up Donny!

I was wondering why Donny Benet's music sounds so authentically 70s and 80s inspired. Only after watching a couple interviews and this video did I realize it's because he uses authentic instruments. Incredible dedication to his craft.
I saw him last night in Denver. It was awesome. His band is TIGHT. his guitar player literally looks like Ned Flanders if he was a 1983 Miami nightclub cocaine dealer. His sax player killed it, Donnie's bass rattled the whole venue, and he was on point on vocals. Funny guy too
Even with the playful humor thrown in, Donny's music is becoming more and more badass. I hope they reboot Miami Vice and Donny lets them know who is boss now. His agent should be vigilant with that...

Saw you at The Corner Hotel, Richmond, New Year 2022 and then again in Auckland last year. The bass is one of my fav element of the Donny sound so hoped I’d see that again- bought the Mrs and the sprog, who loved it, and I wasn’t disappointed but would love to see the stick out.
