@@tcon2809 and English rap was invented in Scotland. Just because a genre started somewhere at some time doesnt mean it doesnt evolve. Calling this disco is also pretty indicative of an underdeveloped musical taste and the polarized sheltered american media mindset of a 10-13 year old. I would have totally called this disco at 10 years old, but it isn't. this is like 70s italo disco meets 80s/90s japanese city pop with a miami vice style vibe.
No animals were harmed but 87 babies were conceived during the production of this video. Donnyland dropping knowledge and love in the smoothest fashion.

On 142nd listen, this is just bloody glorious stuff. A succinct, poignant, ever-relevant lament / meditation on man's inhumanity towards man and of just how beautiful our world could be if a different set of priorities could somehow be allowed to pervade. That CHORUS is just... magical. The sincerity in the vocal and the twinge of sadness to it, juxtaposed against the signature retro upbeat arrangement, is just utter perfection. It's doing things to my whole body.
Socially conscious Donny is my new favourite Donny. Not every song needs a political / philosophical bent obviously, especially seeing as Donny's music is pure glorious escapism and some of the most FUN music that can be enjoyed today, but this has really solidified a new string to the man's bow. I'm so glad this exists.

The way the political message in and of itself can be summed up as "hey, just be cool and be nice to people" is also perfectly on-brand. Succint and to the point.

I'm a little more middle ground these days, not everything is black and white and both sides have their points and flaws. We do the best we can as voters and as humans in general; the whole thing (and life) is probably rigged anyway 😅 Enjoy the 3D while you're here and I think no matter what we can all set aside our differences to enjoy this aural masterpiece from an absolute legend in the here and now ✌️

Donny looks like a character from GTA Miami. Actually with GTA VI being set in Miami they need to have a cameo with him in it.
A dark new thematic direction for The Don, with a crunchier, deeper edge to the groove... Yet just as prescient as when Mr. Benét sings of what could be with a beautiful woman. He may not be singing about lovers in love, but this artwork about a more aggressive form of intercourse is just as hard-hitting as ever.
