Miranda, When I click to your channel I do nothing else but watch. I do not knit, sew, eat or do crossword puzzles. I just take it all in with a notebook and pen by my side to jot down any books I would like to read from your recommendations. That's how much I enjoy watching you and your videos. Thank you so much. By the way, your hair is beautiful and your sweaters are a perfect choice for you.
I wanted to add, it’s lovely how sweet you are with your Mother. You could teach my daughter a thing or two. It’s wonderful to watch the two of you together.

Love the jumpers. I kept thinking they were "very British" I live in South Australia and we are never cold enough for such warm jumpers.
When I was a child way back in the 1970’s a teacher told me to know my limitations and play to my strengths. I have lived that my whole life. It’s served me well.

I think the most atmospheric winter book I’ve ever read is Snow by John Banville. It’s set in Ireland about a murder in a huge, freezing old manor house and it will make you feel cold even sitting by a fire!
I am read Katherine Arden trilogy starting with The Bear and the Nightingale. It’s a great Winter’s tale for winter❤

Such a wonderful cozy and comforting vlog, thank you, Miranda. I smiled as you gathered your books because I used that time to gather my notebook and pen to write down all the ones I want to read too. I don’t think I’ve ever closed one of your videos without books to add to my lists. The Wintercombe book especially is gorgeous, as is your Christie edition. But the Year of Wonder and Another Year of Wonder are must haves! The commonplace quote is fantastic and I’m exasperated with myself that I haven’t gotten the book I started several years going again. I meant to do that after your previous video and I haven’t done it yet.

What a fabulous idea to start out every day with a piece of classical music! I love classical music and usually have it in the background as I read or do certain things around the house, but I've never started the day with it. But I will now! I'm taking this opportunity to thank you for the beautiful music you include in some of your videos! Countless times when I finish watching your videos I look up some of that music to listen again in its entirety. I don't always find the specific songs, but it sets me off on a path of discovering new music pieces. So thank you! Both of you ladies look lovely with your new hairdo's, but you both always look lovely anyway. Hi Miranda, I've watched your podcasts for a couple of years now and have enjoyed so many new books and authors recommended by you, including wonderful children's books I read decades ago. Like you I shared a love of books with my mother who was born in Yorkshire. I also share a love of Dorothy L Sayers, Georgette Heyer and many others. And I'm a recent convert to audio books. You and your Mom's hair looks very nice. A new hair cut to start off a new year. My favorite sweater is the chocolate brown one. The other one is nice also. It always feel good to spend someone else's money. That salad looks so good. I love Brussel Sprouts, but I've never eaten them raw before. I usually cut them in half, put oil on them, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and toss them. Then I pour them on a nonstick pan, spread them out and bake them face down at 350 for about 20 or 30 mins. They are delicious.

I also made marmalade this month and got a jolt of pleasure from holding the jars up to the light to see them "glow". Such a lovely vlog, Miranda! I thoroughly enjoyed it 💕 love the knits you bought, especially the chocolate brown one and I’m quite impressed by your reading ambitions for the month 😅 I fly much lower, as I’ve been sick up until yesterday and could not read a single page. I’m currently picking up again the book I was reading before I got sick, one I think you would enjoy. I suppose it could be included in the big Nature Writing family (of which I’ve been a fan since 1999) and, being an Italian novel, it’s been translated in many languages. It’s “The Eight Mountains” by Paolo Cognetti. Next I’m going to read a British book and then a Japanese book ❤ I love January, so I hope you, Donna and everybody here in the community will enjoy a beautiful winter month ❄️❤️

Miranda I really enjoyed this video… the music in the background was so relaxing… “Four Thousand Weeks” really caught my attention and made me a little Sad.. because I converted those weeks to years and got “76” years but sadly neither one of my parents made it to 70… (Mom got 28 years /Dad got 68 years) so I’m definitely getting that Book 🥰🥰🥰….Miranda and Donna You Both look beautiful rocking your new hairstyles💕… I love Brussel sprouts but I’ve never eaten them like that… That’s a salad I’m definitely trying… thank you for This Sunday Video..

But am SO glad to have found them because, as a person who reads any book that leads to why were on this planet seeking and searching for truth, all my life, its a welcome change to read novels, poems , essays and such. Ive been gobbling books up like crazy, and it’s delicious!!

Lovely video! Do you and your mother ever share a perfume collection? I wish you would do such a video. I liked the one a while ago on new handbags, dresses ... PS I enjoyed the video you did recently of your journey to Bath. The flat was lovely, quite cosy.
I really don't know where to start with how to share what I loved about this video because I loved it all right from the start with the scenery and the quotes! I felt complete comfort throughout the entire video. Just to highlight a few things, I really enjoyed your new clothes - both looked fabulous! I also was interested in your thoughts on your morning routine - I work mostly from home now and really do struggle with routine so you have given me some ideas on how to start the day on the right track. Finally I loved the recipe and will definitely try that - it was great to see your mum join you and for you both to look so well and happy in Yorkshire.
