What a beautiful gift from God her voice is . Such a shame that she was thrust into stardom at such a young age snd not when she was older. You can love singing but that can end when your forced to do it. Maybe charlotte will refind her love for opera and will Bless our ears again . She really does have the voice of an Angel like the first CD of Charlotte Church I bought was called. It was advertised on the VHS 📼 tape of my favorite Joan of Arc movie (miniseries)
I have enjoyed Charlotte's singing for so many years. When she sang Ave Maria at Dormition (?) Abbey in 2000 when, I think, she was only 14, her soprano voice was so beautiful and magical. The introduction with the Oboe in a wonderfully echoic venue was superb. This is (was) Charlotte at the pinnacle of her singing. What a pity she then went 'off piste' in her late teens and twenties instead of focussing on singing light classical arias and beautiful love songs etc. I'd love to hear her sing Mozart's Laudate Dominum or Exultate Jubilate. If I was her manager I would encourage her to negotiate with a TV channel to produce a series of (say) ten one hour shows with her singing the best arias - such as Ave Maria, Laudate Dominum etc - including some of the best Elvis love songs and Cliff's etc with two or three invited musical/singing guests each show - including Jackie Evancho, Shirley Bassey. Charlotte you are a beautiful talented intelligent young woman with a wonderful soprano voice; one of the very best in the world. On minor point; you use vibrato well but could be much better, so try and train your vibrato embouchure technique so that you tail it (crescendo) it on later - not at at the beginning of notes, then tail it off and don't oscillate your whole chin up and down so much. Try and train yourself to use the the lower part of your aural cavity/bottom-under-chin musculature - not your whole jaw. You are a wonderful singer with just about perfect tonal qualities ! I hope to see you in concert one day.
