It's just the Latin version of Hail Mary and I do believe that the prayer Hail Mary comes from part's of the bible. Schubert composed Ave Maria based on the prayer Hail Mary.
@slobama Actually, Schubert's original work was in German, and was titled "Ellens dritter Gesang" (Ellen's Third Song in English). It was based on the Lady of the Lake from Walter Scott's poem. The Latin lyrics were used with the tune later.
She has been bestowed by God of having such a incredible and beautiful voice. Her sinsging is superb and holly in this song.'

Her “Casta Diva” is the most poignant, beautiful ever - Maria Calls cannot take a candle to Aida Garifullina. I only hope to be able to catch her performing somewhere around the world one day soon. Essa música me lembra da minha infância, meu pai escutando o rádio 18:00 hrs tocava essa música e o locutor falava os nomes dos falecidos do dia, era uma sensação triste de despedida de quem eu não conhecia, mas que já não estava mais aqui, vinha o sentimento de que não somos nada, estamos aqui só de passagem, que possamos desfrutar o máximo aqui pois o tempo é curto, ontem eu era um menino e hj já sou adulto e amanhã serei um velho, que Deus possa abençoar quem parou p ler esse comentário e a vida segue.
