Mafaldine Alfredo -- Best Alfredo Sauce Recipe EVER | Mukbang!

- This week, I'm making the world's tastiest and easiest alfredo sauce recipe with mafaldine pasta! Mafaldine (or mafalda, mafalde, reginette) pasta are like long skinny lasagna noodles, perfect for holding onto this luxurious alfredo sauce!
Here's the recipe so you can make it at home!:
Ingredients:
1/2 stick butter (I used salted, but by all means use unsalted if you want to control your salt more)
1 pint heavy cream
1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
freshly ground black pepper
pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
salt to taste
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat
2. Once butter is melted, add cream and whisk to combine
3. Bring mixture to a simmer (not a boil! you want frothy but not bubbly), then add the cheese, whisk to combine and reduce the heat to low.
4. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. (I don't measure these, but be mindful of how much nutmeg you add in. Fresh is important and a little bit goes a long way. You can always add, you can't subtract, so add a little at a time until it tastes the way you want.)
5. Boil your mafaldine pasta till al dente, drain and mix with your sauce! :)

So I’m Italian born and raised, and I’ve been reading all the comments lefts by angry Italians who apparently think our way of cooking pasta and our recipes are the only reasonable way of eating a dish that has become international a long time ago and *let me tell you* : these are not the things us Italians should be concerned about, your priorities are hella weird people. You keep on criticising people from other countries who cook our dishes in a way they’re “not supposed to” but you should look at yourselves cooking Chinese dishes with wrong ingredients, eating Asian food with forks and consuming sushi rolls that most people would never consider japanese. Hypocrites much? Also, I’d totally eat this- I’m a sucker for cheese sauces so I’d love to try this famous Alfredo one day ;)

I made this today and it was amazing! I added some minced garlic, black pepper, fresh broccoli and extra cheese...so simple but so hearty and comforting, I will make again!

I agree. It’s great to see someone who eats guilt-free and takes care of their body. It demonstrates that you really don’t have to practice restriction and instead enjoy the food you eat.

hi i’m italian i just wanted to say that you can put what you want in pasta based on your preferences, but please never forget to put salt in water before and to wait for it to boil before putting pasta! just that, then u can do what you want

Soooo the store I went to tonight did not have the malfadine noodles so I got fettuccine noodles. Made everything the same and OMG BEST ALFREDO EVER and it was soooooo easy my 6 year old could do it! Love love love 10 out of 10!

Have you tried browning your butter, melting the butter to a golden brown, then adding the cream to it. I've been hearing its delicious and I'm scared to try... Brown on the verge of burn makes me nervous!

I do love a good cookbang. I see Alfredo sauce in a lot of mukbangs but have never tried it. When it comes to pasta, I'm a tomato based sauce kind of guy. I do love an arrabiata sauce. The cheesy sauces look a little rich for me. That was a mountain of pasta though so well done for getting through as much of it as you did.
