Yep, and I even made a patch kit especially designed for it to replace many critical missing resources and update numerous things, while still keeping the overall patched install down to around 340MB or so disk space used, which is less than 1/10th the size of a full XP install.
Their name is probably EVO, the K410i part must be a Sony Ericsson model, must be a phone they used to own at an earlier point in life, and CFW stands for custom firmware, possibly meaning that they installed such thing on their K410i.
Dunno how good it performs, but it looks damn ugly .. random Vista and 7 icons here and there .. no style at all .. to be honest, I've never been a big fan of XP .. so this iteration leaves me completely cold.
I was once able to make 85 MB ISO. That was the smallest that was still able to connect to internet. I think I finally got it down to 82 MB but that didn't connect to the internet anymore. After fresh install it only took 25 MB RAM - that is over 160 times less than Win 11 needs according to it's requirements.
@@rustymixer2886 UA-cam doesn't let post links but basically take NLite and XP iso and just remove absolutely everything. I suggest to remove half things every time because removing wrong things will make XP unusable. So you remove half things, you get 300 MB iso, you install it on VM and try to connect to internet. If it works take that new iso as a starting point in NLite and remove again half things. You get 150 MB iso, you install it again to see if it still works and connects to the internet. And so on, remove stuff end with that decrease it's size with every step. At some point you have removed so much stuff that it can't even connect to internet with cable - at that point I would say it has become useless - when that happens go back to your last good iso and and instead of removing many things at once remove just one thing every time until you find exactly what you can't remove in order to keep it functional. Final finetuning can take like 10+ installs until you get absolute minimum iso that still works. But the install time comes down to just few minutes when the iso is in 80..100 mb range so it will not take too much time to make it.
@@rustymixer2886 Ok looks like youtube deleted my commet. But the short answer is: UA-cam does not allow to post a link nor write about process to get there. I used program called NLite.
You also looked at the Page File usage in Task Manager and called it the "RAM usage". You won't have an issue extending the length of these videos if you take your time and are thorough. At this point, I can't even trust the legitimacy of your video because you were in such a rush. Why the rush at all lol.
You gotta wait after the first boot to the desktop; there are background installs and final setup/customization scripts running on the first login on all of these custom windows OSes. You may have restarted it too quickly since it seemed like you rushed to get VMWare tools installed (I don't know if you skipped anything when editing your final video). Anything wrong it such as the themes may literally be your fault 😅. If you didn't wait, then you may have completely cancelled that process by immediately installing VMware tools and rebooting (that's also probably why it said another setup was already running when you first tried to launch tools install).
Please don't record in a higher resolution than the intended playback resolution. It causes details to be lost, especially making text hard to read. It's fine (and encouraged) for most modern games because UI elements will scale with display resolution, but an operating system will usually keep things the same pixel-size at all resolutions and instead use the extra resolution for more real estate.
I am genuinely curious. Does most software even work? Balabolka, text-to-speech, document viewers, and onlyoffice? How about bluetooth? xDDD If so, this is probably the best OS ever. :3
If you look up the word " pointless " in the dictionary, there is a picture of this ISO .........XP is extinct, save for use in some industrial machines that need very simple instructions to run.
There is a version of XP called MicroXP and I think the ISO was less than 100MiB in size.
yep that's the smallest xp ever i tried it in the past
Yeah and you didn't get the log-on error and that ugly windows logo either unlike this edition.

Looks like Windows XP Royale theme with Vista buttons
Theoretically you could compile Windows XP and just strip out all the unnecessary blobs.
