Not even all that, its a good point but how often do you see an offensive player break a tackle or shove a guy off by putting their hand in the defensive guys facemask, and thats okay to do, but a defensive player does it, there is no question, thats a penalty.
You really think you can control the way you tackle someone that runs a 4.2? It’s impossible..
Throw a bone to the defense and let the DBs use their hands more....
Yeah I'm taking the year off from the NFL unless they overturn this rule.
They need to change the fields if they wanna protect the players
Low hit on QBs started in 06 TB12 was hit low in 08
So weird! I never new you could get injured playing tackle football!?!?
RIP NFL
Time to form another league, these jokers are killing the game
💯 agree with this rule I've seen more injuries from this
All this rule is designed to do is to give the refs yet another tool to decide the outcomes of playoff games… there is no way this will be enforced equitably.
there's rules in sumo?! it's basically flag sumo!!
Rugby outlawed the tackle and they're fine. They probably do just as much if not more tackling than the NBA
The NFL might as well become a two hand touch league at this point. I was already pretty disgruntled at how the NFL keeps making worse and worse rules. I think I watched maybe six games last year. I have a feeling this year I may only make it through a half of one game and be done
Good point. I spend more time on Sunday’s reading prior to the start of my work week. I will head into a local sports bar once in a while to watch games. But I’m going to eliminate that because the entertainment factor isn’t there. Most people in the bars are drunk and complaining about penalties called against their favorite team.
There are about to create room for actual competition/alternative. Im telling you
I think I'm done with the NFL unless they put skirts on the QB.
This is a statement, NfL obviously wants the defense to be a small part of the game now. But now offenses can’t be compared to great offenses that flourished in a more fair balanced game where defense were absolutely the heart of a football team going all the way back to the origins of the sport. Offenses need to be nerfed in some way.
Just what the nfl needs.. more flags.. it’s getting unwatchable
nfl is dying, UFL probably getting more creditability as each day passes.
Football used to be called a gladiator sport. 2030 Super Bowl gonna be 3sec hold
far to much crap on the desk! who’s producing!?
Conspiracy theory watch defense players get the RB treatment since you really can't do anything your replaceable aka no top money.
How are the guys supposed to tackle?
you know about hip dropping?
@@williamgray5491 Yes, I played football but currently play rugby. Hip drop is a common tackling technique in rugby league especially in the open field when a defender is beaten. With rugby style tackling seen in NFL, personally, I don’t know what other tackling technique besides the hip drop can be used in open field….i may be wrong but it just me…

Get this straight, professional football (keyword: professional) does not exist for football's sake, it exists for business' sake. This is a measure FOR the business, and you (me) will watch.
Anyways, the defensive players that have a wide-arm radius and proper two-hand tackle technique and wrap will have no problem to adjust.
Its football it happens dang….when you try to be to careful thats when more injuries occur 🤷
Concerned about scoring? No one wants to watch a 42-50 game. Its exciting when a defense gets a big stop in a close game. Its not exciting when every drive is a TD because of poor defense its boring.
So basically u can't tackle anyone from behind?
It's now basically flag football... every year the NFL sucks a little more...I'm close to finding something else to do...
Simply put. This sport is becoming a complete gimmick. If the games are that violent, just ban the damn sport. It’s already nearly unwatchable due to rule changes.
Just make it flag football at this point...they could get rid of turf feilds to cut down the injurys but instead they banned tackling smh.
Honestly its turning into two hand touch
Anybody who actually had good tacking form in their playing days knows this is a chicken shit tackle. Never in my life have I ever had to land my whole body weight on someone’s ankle to get them down
And you played professionally for how many years?? 🤡
NFL died today. Sports books won today. Now there will be incessant preferred teams getting the call or not being called on.
