Ratkin are hard to play. They have no flyers. Their "elite" infantry is about on par with most other lists standard infantry. The only cav they have is light cav. The army is very dependent on characters and magic that buff those units. It's a lot to remember, and a lot to coordinate. I constantly forget to do stuff with my rats, like cast spells and use auras, just because there is so much going on.
Yeah there's a lot indeed. From an outsiders perspective, they look like Goblins but instead of crazy random high damage potential they rely more on synergies and access to forms of healing like RoL and Drain Life. Poor Shock Troops, though, they definitely can't handle Soul Reavers
