Following this video and Rain6's quality knowledge, I mounted this DPM spring on my S1Speed, your AF1 will really be improved in terms of performance. This punch problem no more exist with the AF1Speed. What changes between the old spring and this DPM is that the rod-body of the spring becomes metallic, and also it integrates a spring which allows to dampen the return to the rear of the slide. By switching to the DPM you will no longer have one spring but 2; a spring which dampens the forward movement of the slide, and another which dampens the rear movement. The different spring hardnesses allow the versatility of being able to benefit from the improvements of the DPM spring whether you are shooting from the homemade soft reload or the very powerful manufactured. The pistol slams less and everything is smoother, if you get the hang of it you can shoot very quickly in a very sustained manner.

+Nick Cnctech (cnclathe) you are correct, however, when things have changed, please explain how... the two springs silver and gold were both the same length until 12/15, now the silver is longest, gold middle and silver again shortest? thank you for the comment and compliment.

the power of the springs Always in our products are translated by the length... the longer is the heavy the sorter is the lightest... in the particual product for the Strike One we have sort silver (lightest) second in length is the gold so its the medium power and the long silver is the heaviest... length is power... more coils more power... is that easy :)

+Nick Cnctech (cnclathe) and the nest Strike One Recoil Systems will have a good chamfer on the end part and extra instructions for that little karate chop :) you show us in the vid so the system will seat properly :) arsenal will also try to make it better so we dont have that problem any more :) I am looking forward for a comparison video with the standard and our system in the range :) and tell us how it feels

I am considering this spring set. Thank you for this video. Who did your trigger job? My strike one needs that. It has so much slack in the trigger. Driving me nuts.

Do you know how I can obtain a factory OEM recoil spring assembly for the 9mm ASO pistol? I love the pistol as it is and I want to keep it as it came from factory, thanks.

$100 for a recoil spring?!? You guys happen to operate Harley Davidson stealerships prior to rain6?

+ywbyun I usually do not oblige this category of comment but I'll make an exception today... it's Cinco De Mayo afterall. To answer your question "You guys happen to operate Harley Davidson stealership prior to rain6?" No we did not, but I have owned other small business and to make it work in this particular industry we have to make 20% margins just to keep the lights on. So, I'll let you do the math and you can calculate what we buy these for. Then I'll ask you to guess this industry's avg. profit margin on selling a gun, think lower 1/4 of that. Just a quick class Free of charge of course. Please do not be offended, it's cinco de mayo and Tequila (my brand) is expensive afterall too. Finally and Lastly, if I may use those two together, ask is $100 reasonable to ensure I punish everyone at this weekend's competition?

+RAIN6- Custom Firearm Training & Solutions Perhaps DPM operated HD stealerships before they started selling overpriced recoil springs. Thanks for the free schooling... to answer your question, I'm guessing profit margins on guns are 3% - 5% on average and 10% on a good day. But then again, this is Murica ... you sell a lot of guns so margins don't need to be crazy high like selling a Rolex.
As for punishing the weekend competition, that's a marketing hype. I feel that 99% of the people that buy handguns are no where near reaching the full potential of a stock firearm from the factory. Just like in golf, they're probably better off spending the money on training/lessons than on minor improvements gotten out of trigger jobs and recoil springs and I'm sure you can appreciate that statement since the bread and butter of your company seems to be offering training classes.
I just bought a Strike One pistol because prices came down and I felt that the new price reflects what the gun is actually worth without the hype tax added on to it. Also, for me, I wanted a bit of variety and the different design was the main factor for me to purchase the firearm. I get the low bore axis and the Bergmann system add some advantages but it's not going to make someone a better shooter. That just comes with practice and someone with a lot of range time is going to shoot a lot better with a stock Glock than someone who may not get a lot of range time with a Strike One or some custom 1911 that guarantees to shoot the nuts off a fly at 100 yards. A recoil spring, I feel, is such a minute improvement in the grand scheme of things and definitely not worth $100 in my humble opinion.
In any case, good luck with the new business and happy day after Star Wars day.

+ywbyun As a european I bought this springsystem directly from DPM in Greece. As far as I know this is their country of origin. If memory served me well I paid around €75 for the set. So $100 in the US doesn't seem that much to me. In my humble opinion, this recoil spring is definitely worth it's money.

thanks for the reply. I got it in and it works beautifully. I have the lightest one installed. using American Eagle 124 grain FMJ. So smooth and Beretta px4 storm compact is already soft. I was amazed. This gun already has well over 5000 rounds with the stock rod. when I changed it and shot it, I just shook my head in amazement.
