I'm into the Bauer cordless line at Hobo Freight. I think it's the sweet spot on value and performance. And, let's face it, you don't want to get into more than two battery lines.
Great video man! It’s always good to see new perspectives, and this one gives those who don’t pack the extravagant budgets that some of the big lawn influencers do, and it shows harbor freight actually has some nice products. My grail item since I’m switching gears towards a turf style lawn is a reel mower…any powered reel mower!
appreciate that! being on a budget ourselves, we always try to find budget gear to feature on the channel, but occasionally we spluge of some luxury equipment haha
Thank you for the real review… I will probably pick up a sprayer, but 1 gal for my purpose. I am really wanting a cordless edger with an actual blade. Haven’t found the “one” yet so still looking for that one!
Great video! One thing We need to keep in mind is that all those tools from HFT are not professional grades, but for us, DIYers they are a good option, I myself own a few Bauer and Chicago Electric tools for a few years now and haven't had a single problem yet.
@PrincessCutLawnCare yeap, I have that one too, I've used to sharpen lawnmower blades, cutting pavers and such. I also have the variable speed oscillating multi-tool, which is pretty good considering the price.
I've always wanted one of those fancy reciprocator trimmers for trimming around pipes, trees, and vinyl fences. Seems way more forgiving than my string trimmer.
Great video I love it when people use normal equipment that most people use. Only a few can afford 5k mowers and such. My holy grail piece of lawn equipment would be a power dethatcher or an aerator.
Only thing about Harbor Freight battery tools- make sure to check the prices on the name brand equivalents on the equipment and battery. Some times the Harbor Freight in-house brands are only cheaper by like $10-$30 vs the name brand. It's good to see that their lawnmower and all these tools seem to be pretty descent though.
Just started my lawn care business so for your question to your giveaway, my holy grail equipment which eventually I'll pull the trigger would be a zero turn mower! It's been a dream to own one!
Love the reviews from Harbor freight. They have some hidden gems for sure. Is your blue tool chest from HF? My dream addition to my collection would be a better lawn mower blade sharpener like All American Sharpener Model 5000.
Wonder guide. My go-to lawn item is probably the least expensive. I have the Home Depot sprayer and have the hardest time. Maybe I should visit Harbor Freight.
someone in the comments earlier said the same exact thing! greenworks must have white labeled it to harbor freight now i gotta ask, how do you like it long term?
Those Portland tools are junk in my experience. I have the Atlas one and it’s super powerful. I might pick up the atlas edger because I have 4 batteries. The Atlas blower is great as well.
This video is much appreciated. I spent my whole life in California where I couldn’t afford to own a lawn, and I just moved to Tennessee where I got nearly two acres, so now I’m looking at grass, trees, and shrubs growing wild all over the place and realizing I have a lot to learn 😂
I can't see myself buying that cordless mower, when I can get a Makita kit (mower + batteries + charger) for about $40 more (or $60 less without self-propelled).
I have been very pleased with most of my Harbor Freight purchases. My dream lawn product would be an underground sprinkler. Thanks for the video and the testing
Great video. You come up with great ideas for content. We really appreciate it. (Toro Time Master, would like to pull the trigger on the 30 in. cut. But out of my price range.)
I bought the two gallon version of that sprayer and as soon as I primed the tank, product started flowing through the wand without engaging it. It was annoying. Maybe a different wand would make it better. But for $12, the tank is built well.
Hmmm 🤔… holy grail for me is a lawn, grass! And a retaining wall to hold in my sand. I’m super blessed and fortunate to snag a a tiny little old house by the beach in the Pacific Northwest. But I’m really struggling with growing anything besides dandelions and dune grass on what amounts to a sandlot. Also the wind gets crazy here, blows alot of sand away, and I have a slope so the sand is washing away. I have so much to learn and I’m looking forward to making my way through your vids.
@@PrincessCutLawnCare Ugh it’s true, we rented in the big city out here for 15 years to keep the kids in a good school district. Always scrimping and saving for a down payment while prices just got higher and more out of reach. Finally when the kids were done with school and off on their own adventures a we moved out to the edge of the world where prices weren’t so out of reach. Never imagined we’d have a little house by the ocean but it’s way more affordable than staying in the city. We have to go back to the city two or three times a month for hybrid work, we stay at an Airbnb studio or commuter hotel- we’re still spending less than when we were renting in the city. And don’t get me wrong, we weren’t living a lavish life, still aren’t. Maybe look at the Olympic peninsula, might be surprised at what you find.
Harbor Freight definitely has some really good deals. I think it be cool to have one of the Amick Lawn wheel aerator (plug). Lawn not smooth enough for greens mower. That would be the ultimate
I don't know if it my grail item, but a battery edger is one of the items I've wanted but just never yet purchased. Just still flipping my trimmer on edge and getting it done that way... seing you use the edger though, nice. I'd hate to win that edger without the battery thrown in though it would suck to have to go out and spring 190 for a battery too.
Not really a holy grail item, but I do want to switch my outdoor lawns tools to Ryobi 40v line, I want to pull the trigger on the 40v brushless jet fan leaf blower.l, just waiting on it to go on sale.
I've never tried a lawn tool from harbor freight but I haven't pulled the trigger on a string trimmer or a backpack sprayer. Them things look amazing and very useful. God Bless brotha and HAPPY EASTER !!
One thing you didn't showcase was the vacuum/mulcher feature on the leaf blower. Also are you sure that was the HDX sprayer? It Looks more like the Chapin one, and I agree its terrible for all the reasons you mentioned.
I love Harbor Freight. My opinion is as long as you don’t try and overuse their products they usually work just fine. I’ve bought thousands of dollars worth of their products and am generally happy with them. If my paycheck depended on tools I may go elsewhere but for my DIY projects I love their stuff. I’m in the market for a 4 gallon backpack sprayer to replace my 1 1/2 gallon handheld unit. The cheaper Harbor Freight one goes on sale next month and I’m going to buy it. My dream outdoor product? A new 42 inch mower with a bagger, lol, That’s it. I don’t have a bagger for my 15 year old mower and that’s really all that would make me happy. Have a great Easter weekend everyone.🐇🐣🥚
I'm interested to try out an edger like that. My edger doesn't leave a clean line and my weed eater struggled to do the edgings. So unfortunately, I had to use both.
My 1st Backpack Sprayer is the Yard Mastery 4gal Backpack Sprayer. After 1yr it stopped working on me. It was good while it lasted. I bought Flowzone Typhoon this year and I must say...it's levels above the YM Sprayer. My wishlist item...Rotary Scissors!!! Oh, and look into making your own Backpack Sprayer if you're a hobbiest.
wow im surprised it only lasted a year, isnt it like 300 dollars or somethin??? glad to hear the flowzone is working well, its next on our list to grab haha
Their 5 Gal Jerry can made by Midwest is about the highest quality gas can in the market. Like $60 before coupons is a great deal if you need something like that.
Nice to see you're back! I have the Portland Blower/Mulcher, with a a store coupon and a rebate from my Harbor Freight credit card, I paid about $25. I use the mulcher/vacuum function much more than the blower, and after dethatching my badly neglected lawn I mulched up pretty close to 2,000 pounds of thatch, dead grass and leaves. The only problem is the blower is a bit *too* strong for my needs (only have one maple tree). That's pretty impressive even at regular price! My experience is Menards is a better value for lawn stuff than Home Depot. I got the cheap sprayer from there, it was about $3 cheaper. It's good enough for the limited amount of spraying I do.
Love your videos. I have a USB Battery(You charge the wand) sprayer. It does my whole front and side yard and never has died on me yet and i sit on a 9973 sq ft lot. I got this a few years ago based on your recommendation based on pump sprayers vs battery ones and you was so right about the batter sprayers. You don't have to worry about stopping and pumping the manual one and with the batter you get a consistent spray coverage.. Everything i have yard wise for the yard is EGO. Worx got me started but EGO, to me just stands out on a different level for me. My dream yard device for me would be the POWER+ Z6 42-in 56-volt Lithium Ion Electric Riding Lawn Mower
Holy grail item for me would be a Toro commercial model 22035, with the Suzuki 2-cycle engine. There is a Flowzone Typhoon 3 on marketplace in Lake Villa, for $150. Not my listing, I live in the South burbs.
Saw the MY4SONS battery backpack sprayer and bought it 3 seasons ago. It's great! A workhorse around my corner lot. I tried a big orange box store's 18v sprayer and what a joke that was, puny pickup tube and no pressure. Buy a MY4SONS
Bro, I had purchased the Flowzone Typhoon 3 from GCI Turf Academy along with their nozzle kit. I'm able to spray my 5k sq.ft. with one tank full and the spray pattern is amazing. Best sprayer I've ever used for sure.
Just stumbled across your video on UA-cam. Quality & Honest review and the quality you put into your reviews & editing are outstanding man! P.s. The one thing I wish I could have for lawn care is a nice lawn lol. Or a Ego Zero turn, Husqvarna auto Mow.
Always enjoy your videos, George. I purchased a pump backpack sprayer that was junk. I recently picked up a Hart battery powered sprayer, with battery and charger at Ollie’s for under $50 with a coupon. Haven’t tried it out yet.
Central Canada resident so no contest entry here :( Can't wait for the snow to go away and get out to the yard already, even though we got another light dusting last night. My dream machine for my yard is a Toro Timemaster. I have a yard that is just under 7500sqft, not quite large enough for a ride on mower but a little much for the Craftsman 22in self propelled I have now. Timemaster with the extra cutting deck size would be amazing but with 4 kids can't justify the price tag right now when I have a fully functional mower. Though with classic Craftsman products they seem to last your entire adult life I probably will only have this mower for many years to come. Glad to see you going for another season.
George. You have my favorite lawn UA-cam channel. I was curious about the Atlas but it seems like Ego still might be the better way to go. What do you think? I’ll have to try that sprayer and definitely get some quick connects. I’m gonna try to get some perennial rye (northwest so it’s kind of our best option) to grow in my front yard. I think I overdid my tenacity but also my bent grass just laughed at it so far so maybe not. Maybe I’ll try another application before or during seeding.
Would like to own battery lawnmower. At 74 gas mixing issues is to hard and extremely expensive in Canada.I have followed you & a had a lot of success.Thankyou Great video.Bruce 😊
Hey George! I love your videos, it’s inspiring to see how you’ve grown. My item that I haven’t bought yet is a backpack sprayer. I still have a pump one and attempting to see which one would be best. Looking at all the reviews but they all seem to leak and I can’t justify 500 for one. lol
My HG would be the string trimmer. I've struck out twice in 4 months with Ryobi ad Rigid. I didn't want to spend a fortune and bought an inexpensive Ryobi, but it was weak I returned it and ordered the Ridid 17" brushless but it broke down after 2nd time using. I returned it. Now I'm on the hunt for a reasonable priced one.
Hi George, thanks for the video. I was thinking about buying a power edger, and this was good info. My "Holy Grail" lawn item is an EGO Electric Lawn Mower.
So thankful for this video…. I often forget about Harbor Freight but will be checking them out next time I’m needing something for a project for sure! Thanks also for the giveaway… that’s pretty dope of you to try it out & then give this stuff away 😊😊
Great Harbor Freight lawn tool review George, keep making great videos 👊 I too have made the comparison with value & price on battery powered lawn tools over the last couple of years and would like to upgrade my pump sprayer equipment as well. Still relying on the cheap HDX ones!
My holy grail lawn item would be a Billy Goat PLUGR 18in aerator. I really want one to aerate as much as I want without having to go rent one at HD all the time. $4k! Can't justify it
Great video! I’ve always been skeptical about Harbor Freight’s power tools. I’m gonna have to give them a chance and try some of them now. My dream lawn tool would probably be a good quality reel mower.
Great video! Believe it or not Ive always just wanted a blower, just a blower! Lol! I've been old fashion sweeping the grass back into the yard after trimming, and my edges never look clean as clean as they would with blower.
The Greenwood sprayer used to have some nicer hardware. I bought two about a year apart and it's night and day how much cheaper they are now. Bummer. And for that reason, my holy grail is also that FlowZone sprayer. :P
What is HB thinking with the Viking line? I think the yellow/red tools all share the same battery. HB already have Hercules as their top line. Unless Viking and Hercule can share battery, not many of us will dive into two separate lines.
For the love of God, please help an injured veteran out and give me the lawn edger 😢. I need an edger badly, but all the others cost too much. I spend over an hour fighting with my trimmer trying to get the job done. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 Great video 😊
I'm a great fan of your videos! I have learned a lot from watching how to take care my yard. I appreciate the video on the lawn edger. I have 2 edgers that I do sharpen the blade on but they don't cut as good as the one in your video. Maybe it's time to pull the plug and own 3. Don't know how to ask you a question because I'm not on Instagram. I have a gravel Street in front of my house and the grass grows up through the gravel. Which means I have to mow my street. Do you have a video on how to sterilize the ground so I don't have to mow the street?
Thanks Bob! i do not have that tyoe of video but if i recall correctly lawncology did a video last season about an industrial product that sterilizes the group for 1 year at a time, you should check out his channel, it was released in 2023, good luck!
Yes! A new season of PCLC! Great video as always. My dream lawn item would be an Allett reel mower! Will you be giving away one of those in the near future? 😂
Nice, just started using Harbor Freight again since a recent move. Always researching first to find quality. I really need to pull the trigger on a dethatcher for the yard.
I would have liked you to review their larger rechargeable backpack sprayer. The one gallon pump sprayers are throw away. Currently, im using a chapman 4 gallon rechargeable sprayer.
What's your favorite Harbor Freight tool?
For me, it's the Yellow Daytona Car Jack and the trusty ol' US General Tool Box
I have a couple of flowzones and have used them for years and to be honest, for your size lawn, the lesco 4-gallon backpack through Lowes is better.
I'm into the Bauer cordless line at Hobo Freight. I think it's the sweet spot on value and performance. And, let's face it, you don't want to get into more than two battery lines.

we have one of those rotary scissors, they are awesome!
Great video I love it when people use normal equipment that most people use. Only a few can afford 5k mowers and such. My holy grail piece of lawn equipment would be a power dethatcher or an aerator.
thanks my friend and nice choice!
we used to think we had the best of the best but as time went on we realized none of that fancy stuff is required
Only thing about Harbor Freight battery tools- make sure to check the prices on the name brand equivalents on the equipment and battery. great tip! i realized that with the edger💯
Great video. A lot of people think Harbor Freight sells junk, but they do have some good items. Thanks for showing that.
thanks and no doubt!, they were all pretty darn good!

Husqvarna has some really cool new tools as of late!
i think there blowers are the most powful in the biz if i recall correctly
Great video and picks from HF!

thanks! we are getting a perta sprayer soon, curious to how it performs

Good to see back always great info thanks again brother
hi Allen! good to see you back again my friend!
I want a Milwaukee M18 mower. Thanks for the video!
No problem and the m18 is amazing! Well worth the money 👍
I've wanted a 10-15 gallon battery sprayer. Then modify it to push around rather than pull on an atv
Thanks for sharing!
that mower is exactly the same thing as the Greenworks 2506602 21" mower that I have
someone in the comments earlier said the same exact thing!

Kind of want a compost spreader that can sit around most of the year. Lol.

P.s. The one thing I wish I could have for lawn care is a nice lawn lol. Or a Ego Zero turn, Husqvarna auto Mow.
Appreciate that sir! The husquavarna auto is on our list of wants as well haha
Actually it’s the only auto mower we would consider
Always enjoy your videos, George. I purchased a pump backpack sprayer that was junk. I recently picked up a Hart battery powered sprayer, with battery and charger at Ollie’s for under $50 with a coupon. Haven’t tried it out yet.
Thanks Robert! Appreciate you stopping by!
Curious to how that hart sprayer works out for you, keep us posted!
Cool video. Harbor Freight is the place to go! As for a holy grail item, I have to say, a reel mower. Maybe this year? 😂
oh fancy! wht type of reel mower do you like?
Glad to see you going for another season.
we know how you feel! its still cold here and grass is not even growing yet haha
and thanks boss. good to see you too!
Maybe I’ll try another application before or during seeding.
thanks buddy! that means a lot!
i think either the ego or HF will be great options just depends on your budget
Would like to own battery lawnmower. At 74 gas mixing issues is to hard and extremely expensive in Canada.I have followed you & a had a lot of success.Thankyou Great video.Bruce 😊
Thanks Bruce! appreciate you taking the time to comment!
Hey George! I love your videos, it’s inspiring to see how you’ve grown. My item that I haven’t bought yet is a backpack sprayer. I still have a pump one and attempting to see which one would be best. Looking at all the reviews but they all seem to leak and I can’t justify 500 for one. lol
appreciate that boss! and i dont blame you! the price of some of these sprayers are outta control lol
Now I'm on the hunt for a reasonable priced one.
oh no, sorry to hear that boss! its not cheap but i highly rec the 60V dewalt trimmer, perhaps you catch it on sale you should give it a try
Hi George, thanks for the video. I was thinking about buying a power edger, and this was good info.
My "Holy Grail" lawn item is an EGO Electric Lawn Mower.
Hi Tony, no problem!
an edger will take your lawn to the next level, highly recommend!
So thankful for this video…. I often forget about Harbor Freight but will be checking them out next time I’m needing something for a project for sure! Thanks also for the giveaway… that’s pretty dope of you to try it out & then give this stuff away 😊😊
No problem! we always have fun giving back to the community!
Wow Great mower! EGO would be double the cost and I love the 2 battery feature. Smart. I've always wanted a battery sprayer and a Roller for seeds.
sup dude! good to see you back this season! its been a while haha
Great Harbor Freight lawn tool review George, keep making great videos 👊
I too have made the comparison with value & price on battery powered lawn tools over the last couple of years and would like to upgrade my pump sprayer equipment as well. Still relying on the cheap HDX ones!
thanks so much! home depot ones arent great but at least they get the job done!
My holy grail lawn item would be a Billy Goat PLUGR 18in aerator. I really want one to aerate as much as I want without having to go rent one at HD all the time. $4k! Can't justify it
those billy goats are SWEET
Great video! I’ve always been skeptical about Harbor Freight’s power tools. I’m gonna have to give them a chance and try some of them now. My dream lawn tool would probably be a good quality reel mower.
Thanks Ernie! for the price they are pretty good!
Hey G , Do work Son!!! great info as usual...hope all is well
Thanks Rob! All good over here! Happy Easter dude!
u as well , i know that lil "not so lil" girl is ready
@@PrincessCutLawnCare
Great video! Believe it or not Ive always just wanted a blower, just a blower! Lol! I've been old fashion sweeping the grass back into the yard after trimming, and my edges never look clean as clean as they would with blower.
Thanks! Hopefully we can make that happen for you!
My Holy Grail lawn item would be putting in mulch beds around my house and fences to eliminate as much string trimming as possible.
The Greenwood sprayer used to have some nicer hardware. I bought two about a year apart and it's night and day how much cheaper they are now. Bummer.
And for that reason, my holy grail is also that FlowZone sprayer. :P
Haha great minds think alike
The Ego backpack leaf blower. I want for simple ease of use, but can't justify buying it when I already have a more powerful gas powered one.
Didn’t even know they made a backpack blower, nice!
Holy Grail item is definitely a battery-powered backpack sprayer. I'm still using a 1 gallon pump sprayer on my 11k square foot yard. 🤣
lol geez i know thats not fun haha
one day my friend, youll be there soon
What is HB thinking with the Viking line? I think the yellow/red tools all share the same battery. HB already have Hercules as their top line. Unless Viking and Hercule can share battery, not many of us will dive into two separate lines.
they got so many different battery lines in there 😂
Atlas is the newest one i believe
For the love of God, please help an injured veteran out and give me the lawn edger 😢. I need an edger badly, but all the others cost too much. I spend over an hour fighting with my trimmer trying to get the job done. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
Great video 😊
haha hopefully we can make that happen for you!
thanks for your service sir!
The product I've been wanting to purchase is a Rotary scissors. I will probably need to upgrade my trimmer from my Worx too.
rotary scissors are awseom!
What’s up George! Hope you and your family are doing well. It’s nice to see you back at it. Im thinking about getting rotary scissors.
sup Lalo! been a minute haha, we are doing well, thanks for asking, hope yall are doin good as well!
Great video dude. Holy Grail for me is the Toro Groundsmaster 5910-D
Thank JayMan! good to see you bro
Yes! A new season of PCLC! Great video as always. My dream lawn item would be an Allett reel mower! Will you be giving away one of those in the near future? 😂
thanks my friend! no allett giveaways haha but well try to do something cool comin up later in the season 😀
I'm still desiring a battery operated mower. I take pretty good care of my gas Toro and it just keeps on ticking. Thanks for the HF budget item info!
you will love having a battery mower!
I just saw a coupon where you buy the battery for $130ish and get the tool for free. Even with buying the charger it’ll be about $180 for the edger
nice find carlos! while 180 is still expensive id say the edger is well worth that discounted price 👍
280, not so much lol
Nice, just started using Harbor Freight again since a recent move. Always researching first to find quality. I really need to pull the trigger on a dethatcher for the yard.
sunjoe dethacter is awesome, been usin it for years and it still operates like a new unit
Great video, Every few years I have to buy a new sprayer. Usually a cheap gallon version. I may pick up HF's next time.
Thanks Paul! Can’t beat those small sprayers for the price 👍
Glad to see you back George. Hope you had a great winter. Do you still recommend using DEF on the lawn? A battery blower would be handy
thank you sir! feel good to be back! and yes, DEF is a great fertilizer
I would have liked you to review their larger rechargeable backpack sprayer. The one gallon pump sprayers are throw away.
Currently, im using a chapman 4 gallon rechargeable sprayer.
I will keep that in mind for the future, thanks for the suggestion
